Grady is putting us in toilet paper crisis.
-
Guess it's time to restrict Grady's access! My cats both always wanted to accompany me into the bathroom, but fortunately, they never played with the TP.
-
Celia, I think you are right. He hasn’t done this for about a year, but now he has decided it’s a fun game again!
-
does anyone else talk to their dead pets? Our four cats died within an 18 month time frame five years ago but I still say hi to them every morning and sometimes sing their songs to them and talk to them(who doesn't have a special song for the pets lol). My kids think I'm nuts. Maybe I am?!
-
Absolutely I have done that. And I suffered the death of 4 beautiful cats in a short time frame many years ago in the late 80's early 90's (back in the days before there was a vaccine for Feline Lukemia Virus) so my sincerest sympathies for the big whammy and hole in your heart that doesn't go away. I used to say goodbye to them as I left home and hello to them when I came in. After sometime it fades I think. Whether that is because their spirits move on into the next life or my need to do that fades only God knows. You do right.

Yogatyme Oh No! Bad kitty!
Togethertolearn I talk to my heart kitties Pixie and Lucy often. I hope they are near me.
-
I talk to my angel kitty Charcoal all the time
-
Yes, I have talked to my kitty "ghosters" - Muffy (my 1st, grey tiger, brought her home after visiting a nearby farm for apples & apple cider, little boy who lived on the farm asked if I wanted one if his cat's kittens & I smuggled her home in the car, unbeknownst to my Mom until she heard her mewing), Tom (one of Muffy's kittens, black and white), Smokey (sad story, he was a stray smoky gray kitten DH brought home, who had to be euthanized the same day due to being very ill), Ben (big boy, lovely blue gray, loved to be held on my shoulder like a baby, a real purr factory) and Ivy (Daughter's 1st kitten, all black with a small bit of white on her throat, sweet lap kitty).

Togethertolearn: I still miss Leila, Linsey and Ben who we lost over a period of about less than two years. Leila was almost 22, Linsey and Ben were also almost 20. We decided that at our ages and given the fact our cats live long lives to we would not get another. That lasted about four months. A house is empty without a feline. Maybe we needed the aggravation of kitty litter being tossed three feet or stuff being knocked off counters and coffee tables for no reason.
Aelfric always manages to climb into bed, put all his weight on my port before stomping over to sit on my DH's chest. This is when he is at his best, dragging out the towels from the shelf and leaving him one to sleep on. He is a bit of a handful being Bengal.
-
-
To all: I still swear I see Leila out of the corner of my eye, brushing past me. She was The Empress Of The House and I can't imagine her not being around still in some form, supervising.
-
I get the same feeling about my beloved Charcoal and his dog brother Jackson. There are times since they both crossed the Rainbow Bridge that I feel they are still here. I catch their sisters Princess and Grace looking up at the stairs for no reason.
-
I swear one of our cats still visits me. Chloe was 22 lbs (considered normal for his bone structure by his vet) and could cause one of the basement steps to creak. Every now and then the step creaks and no one has used them in weeks. I still say hi to him. This has been going on for 10 years. Just the other night after we were discussing this on the thread, my step creaked again. Queue the eerie music 🎶🎶

Elderberry I'm so intrigued by Bengals! I'm full up on cats right now but gosh, when they go, I think I'll check into a Bengal rescue.
And I knew you would all enjoy my new picture. I smile every time I see it.
-
edj3 - Glad you got that kitty pic - looks great!
-
Kathindc this is my over 20 pound cat today Nothing wrong with pudgy, just more to cuddle
-
edj3, Read up on them. They are pretty demanding kitties. The shelter has a giant hamster wheel for cats. The Bengal was the first cat who ever used it and he would run and run and run. If that cat ran from you, you would never catch it.
-
Yup, know they are. I had one that wasn't Bengal but had a lot of the characteristics, far more of a dog than a cat. And yes, would totally spring for the big hamster wheel--they need that!
-
