Lol !!

Love it! Laughed out loud.

Saw this hand-done drawing on the ground while out for a walk yesterday. Because of Covid I didn't turn it over to see what steps 1 to 5 might be, but surely am intrigued!
-
Feeling feline - that is absolutely hysterical! I need to figure out how to seen it to my sister, who is a cat lover!
-
-
feelingfeline, I love it!

Welcome to the cat thread. We love looking at and hearing about other people's kitties. Come back any time.
-
I had the sweetest call today for a foster cat. The cat was born with one eye and abandoned by his mother. The owner bottle fed him and has had him ever since. The other eye had to be removed and he's totally blind. The caller said his neighbor growing up had a blind cat and he always thought it was really cool. He's partial to black cats also, which the kitty is. Our records show he had a harness and leash when he came in, so perhaps he goes outside wearing that. He is vocal and answers to his name. I'm hoping for a happy ending.

Feeling Feline how mysterious! I don't know whether I would have been able to resist turning that over haha
Wren - I hope the foster cat gets a match!
-
Wren44, I hope so too
-
Wren - I sure hope that kitty goes to a really good home. My sister is partial to black cats - too bad she doesn't live closer to you! We have just rescued a 7 year old Shih Tzu and she's also missing one eye. We were told it was surgically removed a few years ago but we don't know why or any details. We don't car

We had a ginger cat who had to have an eye removed when he was a kitten. It didn't stop him from laying on the deck rail with all 4 paws hanging down. It's not quite a story up. He also jumped from there to the top of the fence which was just a narrow board. His favorite toy ever was a hot wheels car left by a nephew.

Black barn kitty has recovered from her surgery. She still hides under the bed when I go in to visit. She eventually creeps out to hide underneath a side table and look at me. As soon as I make any movement to get closer to her off she goes. What I find very interesting is that she plays with a squeaky mouse while I am in there, almost to get my attention. So I know she wants to be around me she just isn't sure if she wants to be petted.
So I think she will be too wild to rehome unless I find someone that has the patience. I will continue to try and get her tamer but if that doesn't work she may have to be a highly cared for outdoor cat.

When i had a bigger, old school monitor, I lived in fear of this!

Think our kitties are ready for us to be out of the house for long stretches of time. They're getting downright cranky.
-
Too Funny!!!

Yep. My girls are used to just me at home during the day. They are going to have to learn to readjust when Daddy returns to his normal work pattern.

For cats in foster care there's a number for people to call who want to meet a cat. I do Mondays. Since Friday the number of calls has gone out of control. Five on Friday, 6 on Sat, 7 Sun, 8 Monday, 9 Tues and today it was 13 calls. Most were for a very fluffy white purebred who didn't like the new baby. But really! Each call requires a call back and an email to the foster parent and setting up a time to adopt. It's almost a full time job. I suggested we think about having 2 people per day. It's good that so many people realize they want/need a cat. I'm hoping they don't decide it's too much trouble when this crisis is over.
-
Gosh, the things you wouldn't imagine! Yes, can see your point about "Most were for a very fluffy white purebred who didn't like the new baby" must be hard to keep yuor patience with those, I am sure I would be wretched at that! I hope that the silver lining will be some really good new homes.
-
I feel so bad for animals who get dumped in a shelter or rescue for stupid things like that. The poor creatures didn’t ask to lose the only home they may have ever known. Some people make my head hurt!
-
Good morning. I am glad to have my fur babies. They are happy that we are staying home. Felix has some separation anxiety, so she is very happy both of us are home. When Louie has had enough of the old people, he finds some place to hide and take a nap.

One of the funniest photos I have of my old beloved soulmate kitty, a rangy orange male with bowed legs named Tex, was taken a few days after we brought my first baby home. We found him seated in the baby's fabric covered "bouncy chair" in exactly the same position as the baby would be seated-- butt in chair, with his white belly up, and his splayed hind legs in the leg places.... Like, "hey, no biggie, I can do this too."
