Waiting for the biopsy result and fear of the worst

you could try posting it in this thread below for djmammo to interpret. I suspect he will say it's lacking some information though. I think that "rounded" is generally not cancer. I think the summary is missing a lot of other key descriptive words though that would justify 4C which is 50%-95% chance of malignancy rather than just a general 4 or 4A.

A few years ago something was found on my left breast. A biopsy was done. It turned out to just be calcification. No cancer. Be positive. Waiting can be scary. When do you hear back?

oh, nice! that's awesome news! your report just didn't sound like cancer to me. still not sure why they categorized it as 4c, but great that it's just a fibroadenoma.

why did your friend get a 2nd pathology report on the same biopsy? I'd likely just trust that if the pathology report said it's a benign Fibroadenoma, that's what it is.

right, if the pathologist or the radiologist had doubts about these results not matching the image, they would say it was discordant benign and ask you to either repeat the biopsy or get it removed with an excisional biopsy. I needed an excisional biopsy to prove that it was really benign. If nobody said it was discordant, just trust the results are benign and likely go back for imaging in 6 months to make sure nothing has changed.
