    What a shot QT314 - one in a million!

    Momchichi - love it!

Santbarbarian so enjoyed your descriptive writing, could just see those head butts and loved "She can make a large amount of drama out of a stuffed mouse"

We has a bit of drama the other day when Elliott appeared with a real mouse, caught indoors. Poor creature must have been attracted in by the central heating. Managed to get Elliott to drop it, none the worse for being carried around by a growling cat, but pretty traumatised. Ideal candidate for the mouse relocation programme. We have a large field behind our garden and it was released there, safe enough from our cats at least, as not letting Elliott out since his illness, he is still all shaved etc, and Alannah has been an indoor cat since early days as she liked it that way. That's why we know the mouse was caught indoors. (Boy did (s)he pick the wrong house... )

M0mmy sincere condolences on the loss of your Grampa.

MomChiChi that is too funny love the snaking paw searching for trouble

    QT lol!!

Love the pics and stories ladies, makes my day. Mommy sorry to hear about your Grandfather passing. Blessings to you and your family during this time.

I was able to get within five feet of my little black barn cat. He (boy I hope otherwise kittens could be around) was waiting for me promptly at 4 pm to be fed. Gave me a silent meow then jumped up onto the trailer where I have been placing food. I put food out then just quietly edged closer and spoke to him while he ate. He is solid black with a white star at his throat. I don't think he is completely feral, rather someone's drop off who has been living wild for a while. It is supposed to get really cold here soon so I am building him an insulated place to sleep although I think he has burrowed into the hay bales so he may actually be warmer that way.

Good morning. I love the pics. Miss Felix is at the Vet to get some dental work done. She hates the cat carrier and is a grumpy cat. Midnight Louie says better her than me.

My Wally has been super Velcro since I got home around 1:30 am on Monday. Poor kitty is going to be sad, we'll be out of town Sat/Sun and even worse for him, I'll be gone for three weeks in January. I've got a business trip to the Philippines then.

Miss Felix had a tooth extraction. It doesn't seem to bother her. As soon as she got home she wanted to eat.

edj3, oh I love that!! Ha!

I have to tell you cat lovers something. I still have 5 kittens born in October. I've tried everything, flyers, ads in papers, social media, and still have 5 babies that I have grown to love. I posted on Facebook today asking for ideas. Within 10 or 15 minutes, my phone rang. This woman had seen my flyer at a vet's office and was offering to spay/neuter, shots and deworm all 5. I was speechless.

I had made an appt to do this in January, but some of my coworkers needed off that day, so I put in a call this morning to change the date. It is also in the same week as my last Herceptin infusion, and my husband was asking me, this morning, what day he needed to take off (we had planned on doing a little lunch celebration on my last day, until my heart function went down, and everything got delayed). He was telling me I needed to take the entire day off, and I was telling him I split it into 2 half days so I could take the kittens, and then he was telling me, no, we were not spaying/neutering all of them, we didn't have the money, and I was telling him yes we are, because if we have to keep them, they will have deformed and sick babies, and on and on.

And then today, this complete stranger calls me, and I get choked up and am afraid to speak. I try to tell her how thankful I am, and she says she just wants there to be less sadness in the world. She called and made appointments for all 5 to be spayed neutered on Christmas Eve. I still cry. I can't believe it. She told me that should help them get adopted by someone that will be good to them and, if not, she would sponsor them at the humane society, so they would not be put down, until someone comes in to adopt them. I hope you believe in angels as much as I do today. Hugs, Lisa

Missouri, you were an angel who paid that forward and it is beautiful to have it come back around.

I wonder if an elder care facility might like a few bonded, neutered cats?

Thank you girls for listening, and understanding. I wanted to share, and not a lot of people understand. An elder care facility - there is a new idea! Wouldn't that be wonderful! Thank you!

It is such a good feeling to have hope in something, especially in these times we are living in right now, not only with illness, but with life in general. I met two wonderful women yesterday in the infusion room that have colon cancer. You always come away from there grateful for all your blessings.

Missouri how absolutely wonderful! I am grinning ear to ear! Thank you so much for sharing. And glad to hear you are coming up on your last infusion.

I like the idea of a kitty at the retirement home. They had two cats and a dog at the nursing home where my mother in law resided. One cat in particular took a shine to her and slept at the foot of her bed often.

I have a feeling these five are going to make big impacts in some folks lives, given the love and generosity they have inspired already.

I wish my MIL's nursing home had more frequent visits from dogs--she had dogs all her life and loves seeing the one dog but it's just one person and I think that lady's just done this on her own (to which I say THANK YOU).

Anyway, here's your funny photo from me today.

Good morning. So far, Midnight Louie has left the Christmas decorations alone. Felix has never bothered with them, but loves boxes. She thinks after Christmas is the best. Louie loves empty gift bags.
