Hi,

I was just diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that has landed in my cervical thoracic and sacrum spine I just started Ibrance and Letrozole.
I wanna know from others how they’re doing if they’re on the same protocol any suggestions.

if anybody knows about the success rate of Ibrance and Letrozole.

Any and all support is so needed right now

hi there, sorry you have joined us but welcome to the forum there is so much good info here.

here is a thread for people on Ibrance, in case you haven’t found it yet, it should be helpful to you

    https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8/topics/828848?page=653#idx_19567

There is also a Bone Mets thread around that usually pops up one page one or two, that might also be helpful.

I also have mets to spine, so far I am doing well, but with different drugs because I am HER2. I hope it will be the same for you. Best of luck to you

GoGirl36 ,as Olma suggested, there is an Ibrance thread with lots of information. Hopefully you can get some answers there.

In 2013, I was diagnosed with bone mets in Cervical spine. Later when it spread to Thoracic spine area, I started Ibrance/Faslodex and was on these for about 18 months before my bone mets started progressing. Ibrance was quite easy for me, with the only side effect being neutropenia and low Hb. I got blood transfusion and Nupogen shots whenever my blood counts were low.

Good luck in your new journey. Hope Ibrance works for you for a long time. When were you first diagnosed with breast cancer? Have you been on any other treatment regimen prior to starting Ibrance?

    GoGirl36 -

My first metastases were discovered in my spine in 2016. I was on Ibrance at some point for a few months (I don't think it did much for me), but the spine mets didn't spread - in fact within a year or two, all that was left was scarring. I've had metastases elsewhere - mostly on my small bowel - but anything can happen with this disease. Good luck on the Ibrance - hope it works for you longer than it did me
