Zoladex JOINT AND BONE PAIN!!!!!

So I usually got lupron...but last week since my doctor didn't feel the Lupron was working good enough and we didn't realize I was going to be able to get my ovaries out so quickly she decided to do Zoladex. OMGOSH what a mistake...1. I feel that my hot flashes have lessened...and 2. 6 days after getting the injection I am having really bad aches and bone/joint pain. Does anyone know how long this lasts???

I tried to find a thread on here but could not find one? I only checked the Stage 4 forum though....

    Yeah, this happened to me. I got my first injection about two and a half weeks ago. Was fine until about 72 hours out when my right hip and pelvis flared completely and I've been on crutches since. Oddly I haven't had joint pain in place where I have degenerative things happening (discs, left knee). The pain did get better over time - I think I found a source somewhere that its 72 hours for that pain to flare and joint pain peaks 7-10 days after which it starts to subside... I was right on that timeline. (still getting rads to the sacrum though for different reasons, and I was having issues before the injectio). I used ibuprofen for the pain.

    Still got my period this month, but that was pretty much in the post at that point so I wasn't surprised. No hot flashes or any other issues. Supposedly its just the first month when the pain flare can happen, though. I hope so!

    Are you on the monthly Zoladex? I think there is a 3 monthly that really deliver a solid whack to the system that can cause more problems.

    This was my first and last...my ovaries are coming out Monday. I wish she would have just let me stay with Lupron but it wasn't working all that great and we didn't know I would be able to get my ovaries out in a week from the day of the shot...
