Is it possible to fast before this when its a pill that is taken everyday for 2 weeks?? Should I just fast the entire 24 hours before starting the first pill every time I re start after the week off or does this only work with infused chemo?

That’s an interesting question and I don’t know the answer. I do know that it is anti-cancer to have at least a thirteen-hour overnight fast, and of course that can be done even with daily pills.

Shetland..Thanks for the reply I wasn't talking about intermittent fasting 13-15 hours each night...I will do that...I was actually talking about 24 hour fast.

logically thinking it is not going to work if your intake of chemo is daily. I do not think there is a point in fasting before first dose after a week off as it is just 1/7s of the total dose and in any case I have read that the effective fasting time would have to be 48 hours for a body to her the message that it is in deprivation mode and to go to become less actively dividing avoiding damages of chemo in this way.

I given up on fasting with weekly infusions after 2 of them as between 3 days of fasting, attempts at intermittent fasting and a few days of diarrhoea and tastebuds off I was losing weight at an alarming rate.
