Working fine now. Weird glitch. Thanks

Dear MinusTwo,
Thanks for letting us know. The Mods

Please fix the year of birth drop down list on the "create an account page" and add a statement that you must be eighteen to post. Inevitably someone comes along to make sure and tell the children who post on the discussion boards that they could have cancer. Would you want your kid getting personal medical misinformation from stangers on the internet?
on the internet?

Dear MelissaDallas,
We are aware of this glitch with regards to age in the drop down box. In the meantime, we work to stay on top of responding to young - under 18 new members. We have deleted the post from this morning. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The Mods

Mods, I can’t get into Prayers for MammaRay. I get kicked to the page with announcements. It is current as it shows a new post six hours ago Also, it’s not showing add email notification in the my favorites menu. Got into all my other favorites without a hitch
-
For a variety of reasons, we deleted the person who started the thread, which made this as the result. We may reinstate it, but need to discuss.
Sorry about this inconvenience.

I have always been receiving updates on certain topics via email
And all of a sudden I am No
Longer getting them. I have gone into the topics and I requested email updates and then re-requesting email updates but I am still not getting emails with the topics selected. Why? -

Once again there is a sixteen year old posting in the not diagnosed format. I reported the post eleven hours ago as a rule vilolation because she is under eighteen and it is against the terms of use for her to post here and told her she needs to talk to her mom again if she is still worried. The post is still up. It should be taken down before someone comes along to tell her that she might have cancer. Or that someone else decides to tell me how horrid I am by telling her to talk to her mom...

MelissaDallas, the post has been removed and we've contacted the member via private message to let her know. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Hello:
I believe I've found a bug on the site.
In reading previous posts found through the search by user name feature, the time and date stamp of some of the posts change when the posts are pulled up by subsequent searches. For example, if I search for posts by JaneAnyone on Monday, post "What's this lump?" might be stamped May 8, 2018 01:42pm, but if I do the same search on Tuesday, that same post might be stamped May 9, 2018 03:42pm
-
WC3, thank you for letting us know! We will pass this along to the tech team to see what's going on.
Thank you!

Here is another/related bug.
When I search for posts in the above fashion, the time stamp on the search results differs from the time stamp on the post. The time stamp on the search results is one hour ahead of the time stamp on the posts.
-
I've long noted that time stamps seem to change, depending on when you look at them. What time zone is used for all posts--the local time zone from the person posting, or the location of the servers hosting the threads? I've personally noticed that the time stamp is sometimes very different from the time I know I posted a particular post.

Hi Moderators...….I hate to ask this, it might be my computer literacy. I cannot get the tool bar to work with all of the methods I've used for the last 20 yrs. To be clear all the icons work, EXCEPT the Bold and the ITALIC.
Normally, I would just type in what I want to be in bold, underline it, hit bold and there you go! Same for italics.
So, I've tried hitting Bold Icon first, typing what I wanted to be printed in bold, then hit the bold button to turn function off, no cigar.
Also, while I have your ear, how's everyone changing size of type font? And how are typing in blue?
Thank you so much for your time. God Bless

snooky -- can you let us know the browser and operating system you're using?

Thank You so much

Thanks MinusTwo! But, no, we are just trying to troubleshoot an issue a member is having with posting. Thank you though for looking out!

I'd really like to be able to re-order my Own Signature Dx/Treatment profile so the treatments are not out of order, which I see a lot here, for example with the dx at the end and chemo or radiation at the top, listed first. Or for another example, I did not have radiation before surgery but that's what my profile shows. Thanks
-
Hi thisiknow!
Did you enter a date for your surgery in your profile? Normally, the information in the signatures is shown by date. Looks like if you don't add a date, it appears the last in the list. Please let us know! Thanks!

Hi Mods,
I asking about the same thing that I questioned a long time ago as I've not heard anything at all. That is when anyone, including myself, posts to the topic: Older than 60 yrs. with bc. That is under " Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc. A little NEW in reds comes up and just stays there until someone else posts. If more than one person posts, the last person who did is listed as the "new" poster. I've managed to keep up, but it is still annoying to see everything as new whether or not it is.
-
Hi IllinoisLady! Is this happening only in the Older than 60 yrs. with bc topic? Does the word NEW in red disappear once you read the new posts? Do you have it marked as a favorite or opted for the email notification option? Sorry for the inconveniences!

Mods,
Yes, this only happens with the Older than 60 yrs. topic. The NEW in red never shuts down. So, no matter how many times I may "check" for new entries in any of my favorites, there is always something there -- but if not too many have been posting it is really not NEW since I start my day by reading all new entries from my 3 or 4 favorites. The only time it is actually NEW is if another poster uses the blog. I have opted in to the email notification on all of my favorites.
