Hello,

Anyone taking Verzenio as a monotherapy? I would love to hear about your experience.

ShnauzerMom, I recently began Verzenio but taking it with Aromasin. I took Ibrance with Aromasin four months but had progression. I worry the AIs are no longer effective. I take 100 mg twice a day of Verzenio. I asked about a higher dosage because I read that’s what’s used as monotherapy. I was told the lower dosage was to keep side effects minimal but that the Verzenio dosage could be increased. I will ask onc next month when i see her.

Would you mind saying what dosage Verzenio you take? From your signature, it looks like it’s a monotherapy for you, and you’ve been on it awhile, so it must be effective. Would love to hear what you have to say about it.

Luce has been taking Abemaciclib as monotherapy for quite awhile. She used to post on the Abemaciclib thread- she did take a higher dose due to monotherapy.

Eek DevineMrsM! I am about to start Verzenio and apparently I will be on 200mg twice per day. Oh, oh. I have much to catch up on!

Divine Mrs.M and Sadieservant, I'm on 200 mg of Verzenio. Started at 200 in July, 2018, but had to drop to 150 for a few months (profuse diarrhea), but back up to 200 since past January. (Still have diarrhea, but not every day, and usually pretty manageable.) Tumor markers have dropped steadily and gradually. Last scan showed liver and bone improvement. Good luck to both of you! Hope it's a good med for you,too
