FROM THE ROAD'S END - A Christian Perspective

Changing your thoughts…can make a big difference…
Many times over my 31-year career…0300 was my chosen wake-up time…bouncing off to the...Navy ship…private practice…Army clinic...to accomplish great things…before anyone else arrived…
Now…at 0300…I pray simply for any sleep at all…
Some days…seem the perfect day…to tarry in bed…just a little longer…Even with good reasons to stay in bed now…more and more…there are "sloth days"…
What if the sloth-y thoughts went away…Ahhhhh…there is something…from my recent trip with Prince Charming…
Another of God's mind-blowing creations…the humble wild carrot…with a fancy name…Queen Anne's Lace…a lowly "beneficial weed"…with so much to freely share…with anyone who notices…
--- Thrives in the face of adversity
--- Totally wild and free
--- Self-sufficient
--- Gorgeous natural beauty
--- Intricately detailed
--- Courageous
--- GrittyWhich serves me better today…thinking like a sloth…or…Queen Anne's Lace…my choice is clear…
As the birds sing to you…this impossibly beautiful Saturday morning…replace just one negative thought about yourself…with a positive one…It can make a long-lasting difference…in what you believe…and what you accomplish…today…and every day…

Those Happy Places...way more important than you think...
Against your will...life-threatening illness forces such hard things...you cannot even fathom...slow down...move on...let go...all those things that were so important in the past...to plan your own funeral...to choose between what is important...and what is not...moment-by-moment...because every...single...day...could be your last...
What is important? Certainly not those amazing shoes I collected...and never wore over the years...forty beautiful pairs of shoes...already adopted out to other feet...who will wear and care for them...better than I can now...
What is important...now? God...My Prince Charming...Precious Kitties...Family...Memories...Happy Places...Legacy...Brief Little Moments...Special People...Closure with this Life...Hope and Assurance of Eternal Life...
One of my Happy Places...pilot Daddy was also boater Daddy...growing up on...in...near the water...gave me a tremendous love of water...
With no ocean or river nearby... the closest I come now...the pool...closed for two years...very special pool crew readied it for me...worth waiting on their four weeks of work...
In the shade...near the pool...right now...enjoying...the color...the sound...the coolness...the peace...the tranquility...God placed me here...next to this pool...to have this brief little moment...to love this life...and to appreciate ALL the brief little moments I ever had...
On this glorious Sunday morning...may you know where your Happy Place is...and make a plan to go there...as soon as possible...to honor God...and to appreciate every little thing in this Life...
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.
--- Psalm 23:1-2

I uploaded another 9 posts today. It is somewhat time intensive so I am doing a bit at a time, rather than stress over getting them all in at once.

I uploaded another 9 today. As the process is somewhat labor intensive... I am posting here in batches... as I am able to... I do not want to stress myself out trying to get them all done by any kind of deadline. 9 yesterday, 9 today, will keep plugging until I get caught up. Then will do a daily current post, just like I do on Facebook.
Warmest Regards to All,

HELLO GRANNAX!!!!
Yes...after realizing how many are NOT on Facebook...it became apparent to me...those most likely to benefit from this writing...are here...more so here than in Facebook. This is a deliberate effort to post here...but I believe it may be worth it to someone. This is my sincerest hope.

It is the top of the Atuel canyon in Argentina ... So close to the sky ...

Wow Yndorian,
That is really beautiful
After uploading 18 posts, I have not uploaded any more of my writings. No one has been on the thread. Seems to be no interest. I will upload some more as soon as I can. It is time intensive so I am guarding my energy use. I know you understand.

Of course I understand, you are the first now, the second and the third too! I hope your energy improves ... I send you kisses and positive vibration 😘😘😘

Gumdoctor, have wanted to participate but felt I would be “hijacking” if I posted pictures too. I’ve had the perfect one in mind tho!! I rescued this bumblebee from my windowsill earlier this spring, was surprised how gentle she was.
Psalm 118:4
This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and bee glad in it
Guilty of adding an extra “E”
I’ve been thinking of you and hope your doing okay, sometimes I don’t know how to reach out, even when I want to, need to get braver!
-
Gumdoctor,
I love your posts, and would guess that it's not that people aren't interested -- it's that they were waiting for more? But as you said, you should conserve your energy for your own healing. But I, at least, love your posts and have taken much peace from them.
-
Gumdoctor, I really enjoy viewing your photos and reading your words. Both are comforting to me. I understand that you must protect your health, though. I think of you often and pray you are doing well.
-
Gumdoctor, I so enjoy your pictures and your words which inspire and strengthen! Thank you very much. I hope you take the rest that you need. Blessings!
-
I, too, have enjoyed your posts and photos. I thought it was a beautiful way for you to express your thoughts and inner artist.
I have bookmarked your topic for inspiration. We may be silent in our response, but there is much appreciation for what you do for all of us who seek beauty, solice, quiet.
Please rest, recover and update this topic when you feel it is the right time for you.
-
Your posts are inspiring and beautiful.

Thank you for those who have read these posts and letting me know you enjoyed them.
I have at least 40 more blog posts to copy over to this thread...
Having an extraordinarily difficult time coping for the past 7 mos since liver progression. ONC recommended I get back to my writing...so I will see what I can do...for all of us...
