    I am on my first cycle of xeloda. I was nauseous so my doctor prescribed Zofran. It is helping somewhat but I have no energy and am winded after even a small walk. Can anyone tell me if this gets better or if this is just what I have to adjust to? I feel like a baby but I hate the way I feel

    Keepmewell, there's a really great thread called All About Xeloda where the ladies can offer some suggestions.

    That said, the first question I would ask is what dose you are on? A standard starting dose is 3000 mg/day (six pills) though when I took it I started at 2,500 mg/day.

    If you're at a dose higher than 3,000 the first thing you should do is ask for a dose reduction. Whilst everyone responds to medications differently, you shouldn't be feeling this bad. FYI you should always take Xeloda with food. That should help with the nausea.
