Does your cancer center have a patient advocacy board made up of patients? If so, and you don’t mind saying, would you tell me the name of your center. I’m especially interested in any of the big name centers.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been trying to impact change at my center as they made a huge change (Decoupling) without any patient imput. We finally got a dialogue started today and I’m looking for real life examples of centers that put patients first. I’m at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center in Colorado

MD Anderson has a patient advocacy group but I don’t think it’s actual patients, just MDA employees. I’ve only had to utilize them twice, both were efficient and trouble free. I had a nurse that failed miserably in an emergency situation and a cardiologist with unacceptable communication practices.
