My son in law getting ready to hang an antique coo coo clock. It has 3 weights and moving pendulum. Plus dancers that come out. I don't think this is a safe place for it as BratCat could jump the screen to get to clock. Yes, BratCat is always into something he shouldn't be, or beating up on the other cat.
What's your opinion on this spot? SIL is 6'6"😂😂
-
I really need that baby!!
-
I would put it on the blank wall. A moving pendulum is just asking for it. Plus he might be able to jump from the TV stand to get the pendulum and it would all come crashing down. **never underestimate a cat**
-
That’s what I tried to tell DD. What does mom know🙃🙃.
-
Agree: re-locate clock! CATNIP to have the pendulum swing back and forth... & the bird pop out... Is he daft??? I bet TV will also be destroyed.
-
We want pics of the after !
-
so far as I know it’s still there. SIL was home today, able to keep eye on him. I’m sure there will be an after. BratCat has knocked the Christmas tree down 2 years running.
-
Clock should be on a blank wall
-
he is a bad kitty
-
And when he’s good, he’s very, very. . . . . asleep! One very active kitten.
-
awwwwwww
-
Haha Spookiesmom your grand cat is rotten!
kathindc that kitten is too beautiful . Little fluffball
-
Spookiesmom, I love his face. It reminds me of B Kliban, the cat cartoonist. All his cats had same the semi-stupid big eyed stare.
here's an example:
-
cute kitties
-
I get a Kliban's cats calendar every year. That's how much I love hi drawings. My favorite is Sneaker Cat.
Sorry for the spelling error. I’ve tried twice to correct it but it won’t save properly. 🙁
-
I have the cat book. My favorite from it is a very fluffed up cat with a mean expression. The caption is "I'm Noko Marie. Don't mess with me! I also like the one where the cat is lying on his back in the bird bath while a couple of birds hover.
-
My all time fav Kliban
-
Spookie and Kath - such GREAT pics
-
Was nice enough this morning to open a window and let the girls listen to the birds. Grace liked it so much that she is passed out the girls favorite sleeping spot.

Whitey is back in my house in her own private bedroom as of today...
Co-owner (cat hoarder neighbor) said she was not keeping anything down for 3 days. Vet says he thinks she is ok but needs peace and quiet and some isolation from the craziness of her outdoor/indoor menagerie life of living in a truck...or not...he suggests I get her away from the hoarder co-owner once and for all...
I am thrilled to have her with me but there are so many issues to my keeping her...husband is not happy but tolerating it all for my sake...and kitty's sake...
-
Gumdoctor, great photo of Whitey. She looks so calm there. I think she is telling you she’s found her furever home.
-
Gumdoctor, Whitey is so beautiful. Glad she is back where she belongs. Sorry Hubs is a little stressed about it but I predict she will win him over. She looks pretty zen in that picture. Based on the situation you described, you can almost hear her say "Ahhhh"
-
She looks happy. I do think hubs is a decent sort for "tolerating it all for your sake" ... that is a decent starting point to his relationship with Whitey.
-
Gum, before you know it, your hubby will probably have bonded with that precious kitty.
-
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for the kind thoughts...
It is not as easy as winning him over though. We have TWO houses. 2 kitties live with Daddy and 5 kitties live with Mommy. He does not want my 5 kitties in his house. Whitey is #6...she is staying with me in the 2nd house, isolated from my 5 kitties...picture shows 4 of the 5.
I, with stage 4 MBC and all the physical and emotional baggage it comes with, go back and forth between both houses every week (2.5 hrs one way) so I can keep all 5 kitties. Otherwise it would be time to start picking which kitties to get rid of. I AM NOT READY FOR THIS YET.
There is no easy answer for any of this. I know I am doing what's right for me and the kitties in the short term. There will come a time when all of it will have to change. In the mean time, Whitey is getting treated like the little kitty princess she is in her own private bedroom.
She, and all my kitties, live better than many people, including me...

These are my babies. The tabby is Poison Ivy and the black and white one is Harley Quinn. I just adopted them this past February. They are 8 month old sisters. They were found as kittens outside and I have been continuing to work on socializing them.
-
Fairydragonfly, they are so cute! 💕
