Three month break from herceptin.. Anyone done it?

Hi all, we have the opportunity to travel to Princeton from Africa for three months, I can continue my treatment there but it will be quite a mission to arrange I think.. I've been NEAD for two years now, so just wondered if anyone here has taken a break from herceptin for at least three months without adverse effects? I'll follow my oncs orders lol, just wanted to get some thoughts... Thanks!

    Hi Daywalker - I am totally late in posting... just now seeing your question, and not sure if you will see this answer. I have taken TWO six month breaks from Herceptin in the last six years, with no adverse effects! Hope that helps! Enjoy your trip! What an amazing opportunity!

    Thank you for the reply Andi! My doc said I can take injections with, and my hubbie can just administer them during our stay... Wow so good to hear that you could take those breaks.. There really is hope yay xxx
