Im newly offically diagnosed with lung mets. Im finding I have a good days and really bad days. Pfizer called me today and told me that my husband drug insurance company Manulife probably won't cover Ibrance. Now what. I'm really really tireed of getting bad news everyday. Will this feeling stop. Its the unknown. I need financially to work. So will my treatments make me sick. Will my life be just about cancer? This is my third cancer and Im just about over it. I have to tell my kids this weekend and I dont know how I'm going to be able to do that. I feel like I'm failing them. I know its not my fault but I need t o be here for the big stuff like getting married and having grandbabies. How it is a drug company can charge outrages costs for a drug that might keep me alive. I'm strong willed and a good fighter but not today.

Pippy, sorry you got the news about lung mets. If you have a private insurance plan, you’re eligible for the Pfizer copay program. Ask your specialty drug company that sends it to you or maybe your doctors office has someone to connect you with it. My ibrance is completely covered through that.

You may want to check out the existing thread called Ibrance (palbociclib). There are lots of great discussions going on there. Sorry not sure how to post link. The support you’ll find on various threads is such a big help.
