Faslodex/fulvestrant and Kisqali/ribociclib

Do we have enough community members on this particular treatment to support an ongoing information and support thread? I've been visiting the various related threads for each of the treatments but am hoping to get a thread going on this specific combination.

    I'm new to the MBC community, having been diagnosed just a few weeks ago with widespread mets to bones and also to my peritoneum. I had no physical symptoms but my CA 15-3 had been climbing for the last year and finally had a big enough jump that my MO was willing to order scans. I have ILC so even scans are difficult to interpret.

    MO recommended switching from Femara to a combination of Faslodex, Kisqali, and Xgeva. At this point I've had one Xgeva shot, the first two sets of Faslodex injections and completed two weeks of Kisqali before my ANC dropped barely below the 1.0 minimum and I'm currently taking a week off the Kisqali and will then re-check.

    I have high hopes for this combination. My MO warned that my tumor markers can look a lot worse for a while before seeing an improvement so I've decided not to even look at them over the next few months. He recommended waiting a full 6 months before the next PET scan but his NP has recommended a CAT scan in 3 months. Any thoughts? I'd hate to be tempted to switch treatments before giving this one every chance to work.

    Hello, I am on this combo. I have been on faslodex and zometa since May and will start Kisqali this week. I have had cyber knife treatment to single bone met in July. My CA 15-3 is rising from 17 year ago to 37 this August, every months 2-4 points. Even with the change of treatment and radiation, I don’t know what to think. Before they were reliable to me, I had single met on liver in 2017 and they were also slowly rising up to 40, I had liver resection and it went down righ away to 17. Liver is as of July mri clean. I have read that faslodex can make markers go up for couple of months even if it works.
