Yeah new stuff doesn't smell right until it has enough eau de warm cat on it....
Your bed looks so inviting!!
-
Santabarbarian - Thank you. Working on this room and several others. Wanting them to be beautiful and serene.
With my fatigue and pain issues, it is quite challenging. Your words help reinforce my goal

Yep. It’s not a bed unless a cat lays on it.

Gumdoctor what a gorgeous collection of kitties you have! And isn't it just typical that anything new (or freshly laundered) is investigated and napped upon. Glad to hear Whitey continues to move on like nothing happened. She is teaching us all a lesson I think to live by her example
-
Yep, both my cats like to sleep on freshly folded laundry or on a freshly made bed.

good ones mom.

Thought you would enjoy this

Feeling Feline, oh, your new baby is adorable! You'll have to tell us if she has the characteristics I associate with black cats-- incredibly talkative, very attached to their humans, and very silly! I feel so lucky to have been owned by 2 such cats recently!
Gumdoctor, can you post pictures of Whitey? I'd like to see how she's doing. It sounds like she's making a terrific recovery. She's my inspiration-- I have to go under the knife on Tuesday to get the TE out and put the implants in-- Would that I could be as brave as she is!
-
FAirchild she is very chatty!
Gumdoctor such a great picture. So true - just like us, cats love a new clean bed and prefer a clean toilet (tray ) too!
-
Cowgirl13 you made me laugh out loud! What cat owner hasn't been greeted by that sight??
-
She is a Survivor Role Model for me and you too, if she inspires you.
Bottom Picture: 3 hrs after surgery.
Top Picture: 24 hrs after surgery.
Middle Picture: 2 weeks after surgery, luxuriously self-bathing after staples removed.
As a Christian, I prayed to God to save her for her sake and for my sake. Feeling guilty for that part about for me...
God used one of his miracles to save her for both of us.
You can do this surgery. Think how happy you will be on your happy meds:)
I will pray for you non-stop.

HA HA HA Micmel!!! One of the funniest things I have ever seen!!!
Gumdoctor
-
OMG Micmel, soooo funny!
-
If I was that woman I would stop singing before the cat hurts me. Scary how it goes for her face.
-
Gumdoctor, wow, I want to rest on that bed right now. 🐈🐈🐈🐈❤️❤️❤️❤️ adorable

Spookie as it happened I saw plenty of snow. Yesterday evening I was driving from Mount Melleray Abbey in Waterford home to Wicklow 3 hours away. It started snowing half an hour before I left Mount Melleray! Snow accompanied me from there to Gorey (about 40 mins from home), where it turned into rain. DD very disappointed that there was no snow at home! As she was not with me she missed all the "fun"! When snow comes here it is indeed a big deal as we do not get much snowfall, however in March it never lasts long! No cats at the Abbey, but two charming donkeys!
-
Micmel that video was a riot!
-
Whitey ... Gumdoctor it is truly wonderful to see her well and healing.
-
Seeing old spaces with new eyes. Baby Sydney seems to approve of this new small rug replacing a very old, not so pretty one.
-
What a beautiful, cozy space and gorgeous kitty Gumdoctor!
-
-
Yes, Gumdoctor, I want to come to your house and try all the best napping spots!
-
Paloma - Thank you.
Santabarbarian - Thank you too.
I am in "the chair" now. It is my favorite room in the whole house and the kitties' favorite too. We spend more time here than anywhere else. Big windows on 3 sides so the plants love it here also. Great view and a physical and mental place to rest from all the MBC craziness going on. I am very blessed to have such a beautiful place to enjoy.
I want every room in my house to look like this one....not surprisingly, I have a long way to get there...but that hope is very motivating.
