    Not a specific doctor, but a really great practice, hooked up with state of the art research. It's an amazing place, and I was a patient there till we moved.

    Are you looking in NYC or Upstate.. Hematology Oncology Associates in Syracuse is wonderful. They were good with me going to Dana Farber.. i do all my treatment here and they share info... and I actually like my oncologist here in syracuse more than I do my Dana Farber Oncologist.

    Hi Tina Marie,

    Thank you so much for your info. My sister is in NYC. I was thinking about Dana Farber too, but her insurance is localized in New York, I am just looking for a medical oncologist that is associated with a team of Doctors, where she is comfortable and can received good treatment. Thank you for your spiritual encouragement. I will pass this verse on to my sister. Have a blessed day.

    Hi there. Anyone of the major university teaching hospitals in NYC. They are among the best hospitals in the world. As stated above Weil Cornell is a great choice. Memorial Sloan Kettering is a cancer hospital. You cannot go wrong with either. Good luck and keep us posted.

    Hi blaineJennifer;

    Hope your night was peaceful, which address were you a patient? 1283 York Ave. (Upper East Side)? or 156 william street (lower Manhattan)?

    Thanks for your help. Have a blessed day.

    Hi everyone;

    My sister called Weill Cornell, she is a little upset, because she was told they will not give her an appointment to see an oncologist until she sees a surgeon.

    I am new at this, is this standard procedure?

    Praying Isis,

    Yes, it is standard. The medical oncologist will need the information the surgeon provides. Your sister should call Rache Simmons at the Upper East Side location. A super-duper surgeon. Did the person she talked to give her a surgeon to call? I am hoping they did. If not, please get the name or identifying stuff of the person on the phone, because that is not on.

    I want to add that I had no insurance for my first diagnosis, and all these doctors worked with me to get me care. I had thought that would never happen in New. York. City.

    MSK just chuckled at me, and sent me on my way.

    Jennifer
