Ok, now can someone tell me how to put a picture that will show up with each of my posts. Help.
Steph -
Steph, I'll send you a PM; I've sent directions out to two people since yesterday.
Margaret -
Thanks, Margaret! I'll be watching for it. I'll then give it another try.
Steph -
These are my 3 grandsons. Ethan 5yrs, Triston 8yrs and Kevin 2yrs. It's so much more fun grandparenting than parenting! cheri

Ok, I tried the picture thing, so this is a test to see if it shows up.

The power of sisterhood is the love we share for one another. -
Look who came to visit!!
-
Lisa,
I like your visitor better than mine.
Yesterday around 1pm I let my dog outside, a few minutes later when I went to let him in I found him standing over this. Opossums are nocturnal, so why was this one in my yard in the middle of the afternoon? He stayed like this for 50 minutes then finally got up and walked away. -
Uh....down here if we see a possum or nocturnal during the day, that usually indicates a possible case of rabies. I would stay away from it and keep your pet away and call animal control next time you see it.
-
All the "new" pictures are great.
Cheri, it is MUCH better being a grandmom.
Lisa, you always take such nice pictures.
Oh, the possum..ah, they ain't too purtty. When I was feeding some stray cats I would often feed them in the garage. The possum would show up. One night I was out shopping and pulled my car in the garage and there he was! I don't know who scared who worse, but I got out on the passenger side of the car. He ran and hid in some boxes.
Those little critters give me the creeps. We have since brought in two of the strays.

Testing, testing, testing. Just checking to see if a picture is showing up next to my name.
Steph -
Ok, here I sit again trying to put a picture next to my name. I've gotten directions from several other posts, but can't get it to work. I have my pics on Photobucket, I copy, then go to my profile and check add avatar, but then there is no "paste" available. I really don't think I'm totally illiterate when it comes to computer stuff, but...I'm beginning to wonder!
Margaret, you have PM me several times trying to help and I appreciate that. I hate to tell you I haven't got it figured out yet!
If anyone has any other suggestions ...or a copy of "posting pics for Dummies" I'd love to have them.
Steph -
Steph as far as the avatar goes the photobucket avetar size is still too big for this site but it works pretty good for putting them in the post
-
That looked like a young Opossum. Sometimes the young ones don't get back to their hiding places before day light and try to find a new place. when they get spooked they will try to find a place to hide from cats and other critters that might try to harm them.
-
Steph;
Here's what you can do.
On your PC you must have
an Image Editing Program,
either from your Dig.Cam
or one of the basics,
even some of those
that come with windows do
for images to post here or your avatar.
For your avatar,
you open your image in your PC
with one of those Programs,
cut your image as you want and
resize it with 80 points width.
Somewhere in any of those
Image Editing Programs there's tools
that either say cut
or image size or resize or so.
Then after this,
save it on your desktop,
and then Login in here at BC._Org.
go to "My Home" ,
scroll down to the bottom of your personal page,
there's a box at the bottom that says
Main Configuration
on
Personal information, email, password, etc.
Click
Edit
Scroll down again and
at the bottom where it says:
Upload your avatar (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)
Sign that option by clicking on the circle at its left
then
Click "Browse"
A window will appear
and you click on your image for your avatar
that you saved on your desktop.
Click Submit and voilá.
Sometimes one has to wait some couple of minutes
so the site makes the update of your avatar.
If your image for your avatar
is too much bigger then 80 points per 80
it may not work.
If you put 90 per 90
it will work but there's no visual diference,
much more far more then that it doesn't work.
Hope this works for you.
Great pics everyone.
I love flower pictures at this time of the year.
Can't wait for Spring!
