My one tiny lymph node has now spread to some lymph nodes making a giant tumor at the neck area. Any body with similar problem ? It has recently caused pain in my shoulder muscle when I move. Radiotherapy has reduced the pain a little. But the lump is still obviously protruding there. I have been in Chemotherapy for four years but recently I can’t seem to reduce the size of the tumor. Anybody has similar problem and how do you cope? My right arm has very limited mobility range. Will Idie from this ?

yangtan, we are really sorry you are experiencing this, and hope that radiation can kick the tumor way back for you.

What alternatives is your treatment team offering? Are you still in receiving radiation?

We understand the fear of dying, especially when you are having so much physical discomfort.

Try to keep taking care of yourself, mentally and physically and stay strong!!

    thanks.

I have just finished radiotherapy but the lump is still there, feels like an apricot. Pain is gone but I keep feeling pulsating.

Anyone has mets in thee neck area and how do you cope? I have already been on five diff chemo combo. I am scared. I want some more time. I want to see my girl get her doctorate

I, too, have very stubborn mets in my lymph system in my neck and chest area. I also had radiation to try and shrink the largest one that was causing so much pain, and it helped a good bit. The pain isn’t near as bad, but I can still feel it. I wish I knew what to tell you. The only thing I can do is let you know that you aren’t alone...I share your fears. I’m sorry.

thanks. I just freaked me up to think that a five cm mass can be in such a tiny space of my neck. I am also currently feeling a strangled throat. Doc said its a delayed side effects of the radiation. Should get better. I am still learning not to be so anxious even after four years in the recurrence journey.
