A Randomized Phase II Study Of Eribulin Mesylate With or Without Pembrolizumab For Metastatic Hormone Receptor Positive Breast Cancer

Is anyone else on this study? I was randomized into Arm B so I am only getting the Eribulin. Today I had my first push of this drug. Five hours in the hospital for a three minute treatment. Some diarrhea during the two hours post treatment, but have been able to keep some rice and yogurt down.

Would love to connect to anyone else who might be on this study.

[Yes. I have been missing.... but that is a different post.]

Hi Susan!! I'm sorry Taxol failed. Or did the side-effects get you?

My answer to that question is 'not yet'. However Xeloda is failing and sometime this fall I will need to switch. So it's a possibility. My onc is a fan of pembro though it doesn't work for everyone.

    P.S. How was Barcelona!

Hi Pam! The Taxol failed me. I was still tolerating the "toxicities" fairly well. I found the Taxol was not too bad actually. I was so fearful of this drug when I started and now I look back fondly. Taxol gave me 19 months of stable and was much easier on my body than Xeloda. Would I have liked more? yup! Is starting a new drug filling me with some anxieties? Yup.

Sorry to hear that Xeloda is letting you down.

Welcome to new treatment land! Isn't it always the case? We worry and worry because we have no idea what will happen.

Hoping others in the trial will be along. It may be me. But [with a little bit of luck] not until October or so.
