I am also having a late-breaking problem with 5/5, the best man from our wedding 35 years ago is coming to town for business the week prior to the 5th, but coming to our house on 5/4 and not flying back out until the night of 5/5. Since he is here for really only a day I feel bad about not spending it with him. I realize this is really short notice - but how does everyone feel about this Saturday 4/28?
-
I have tickets for the Lightning game 1 of round 2 that starts on Saturday. I won't know if the game is at 3 or 8 until the last round 1 game is played tomorrow night & our opponent is determined. I would love to get together thought; so, hope for a Toronto win & then I could do lunch, lol.
-
The most wonderful news is that PET showed the Sternum is more likely to have been injured from the auto accident. Over the Summer I'll do another CT scan of the chest for comparison. HOORAY!!!
-
Galsal - That is great news!
-
nbnotes - ok, keep me posted!
galsal - yay!
-
I can try for 4/28. Son is flying in for Leave day but I've no ETA for him yet.
-
The game this Saturday will be at 3; so, I will probably have to leave around 1 to go down there. Would anyone be interested in brunch/breakfast or dinner? If so, count me in; if not, I'll have to catch up with everyone at the next one.
-
How exciting! Going to see Jeff Dunham at the Arena on Sunday!
-
I feel like there is not consensus regarding this Sat, and too many of us who have conflicts for May 5. I think we will have to wait a bit and try to find another date for lunch. Sorry ladies!
That said - everyone enjoy their respective activities
-
I'm sorry, Kira. I file that under:"Oh, you have HPB today? Let me make it even higher!"
-
Just an update on my little beagle. She's responding well to the antibiotics they gave her. She'll only need surgery if she gets another infection. I think the change to the gastrointestinal food has helped her too.
Hope everyone is doing well!
-
bucsgirl - yay! So glad the abx are working! Our dog ending up with a necrotizing insect bite (either fire ant or biting fly) on that super skinny part of the hind leg and had to have a staple placed about a week and a half ago. It comes out on Thurs and his last day of abx is today. He is in a cone, so not a happy guy. I left yesterday for a couple of hours - and he didn't greet me at the door when I came home. It turns out he went into my closet - probably looking for me because it was raining and stormy weather makes him anxious - and the cone pushed the door closed enough that he couldn't get out again, lol!
We need to regroup with dates for a lunch - I know summer can get busy with family and vacations - what are good dates for everyone not too far out - like, from here until end of June?
-
Aw, poor little baby! My doggies hate the cone. Glad he's doing well. He's such a cutie.
Yeah, Daisy got a new kind of chewable clavomax. She apparently liked the taste of it. I've been giving them to her as if it's a treat. LOL! I'd think antibiotics would taste horrible in a chewable form.
I'm free after next week. The only Saturday that I can't do is June 23rd.
-
Bucsgirl - so glad your little baby is doing okay. I was wondering how you made out with and and it's great to hear that she's on the mend!
SpecialK - I am available almost any Saturday until 20th June. That's when we head north for a month or so to see the kids. If everyone else can meet after that, I'll just wait for the next meet-up. Hopefully, we can all find a date before then. Looking forward to it - again! Thanks so much for organizin
-
As of now, available most of June.
-
Hi. Just popping in to say , "Hi.". I started having shoulder mobility problems. MRI showed a rotator cuff tear, but the physical therapist found cording. So she and the medical massage person are working on it with me and it's improving.
Going back to Moffitt at the end of June. The left breast hurts, but I will let them ultrasound it then.
-
Greetings all. I was in Nashville with the grandkids when you were trying to get together in April. I'm somewhat available in May-June EXCEPT weekends of June 2-3 and June 16-17. Is Sat June 9 looking good? (June 10 is our wedding anniversary so we really ought to make plans - ha.)
MexicoHeather - sorry about your shoulder. Ouch! Are you able to get together anyway?
-
Currently on a Baltics cruise, but looking at a fun(ugh) week of petscan and oncology appointments next week to change my treatment along with a nephew graduating high school. The first saturday in June would be difficult for me, but the others are good. Just let me know!
-
bucsgirl - I hide the pill in cheese - he thinks he is getting a treat, lol!
Looks like Saturday June 9th works for all who have responded so far - I feel like we should try for that. Snickersmom won't be gone yet, nbnotes (yay for a cruise!) can come since this is the second Sat in June, right? Works for AnnAlive and bucsgirl, galsal, and me. MexicoHeather - are you in, or is the shoulder making things difficult? So sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty and I hope PT will help - it is a slow process and hard when you're in pain. Hang in there!
I will try to keep this thread in active topics so other ladies in the area will see it. I will also PM or text the others who have attended in the past so we can make a plan. How do we feel about the Grillsmith at Wiregrass, or do we want to find another spot? I liked the round table in the quieter area and the proximity to the I-75 (and the proximity to the gelato afterward, lol!) but I am open to finding a new place too.
-
I'm not going make it on the 9th.-- We're going out of town as soon as I finish PT and I will return on 6/15. I'm just moving forward with things, waiting for my body to catch up.
-
MexicoHeather - bummer! We will hopefully catch you on the next get together. Hope your out of town trip involves some fun!
-
Looks like June 9th works for me. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!
Snickersmom/ann
-
SpecialK - It looks like my nieces baby shower is that Saturday. I didn't know until today. I won't be able to make it this time. Bummer!
-
bucsgirl - oh no! We will catch you next time!
-
Ok - I am going to put the date of Sat, June 9th at noon, Grillsmith in Wesley Chapel in the header. Go ahead and give me your RSVP - MexicoHeather and bucsgirl cannot make it. From what I am gathering nbnotes, snickersmom, annalive, me, lee7, galsal can make it so far - but please confirm.
-
Confirming -- still looks good for me.
-
Sorry to say, Ladies, but I'll be missing this one. Things haven't gone well on a legal matter out here so I'm staying with my Sister until her Youngest returns from College for the Summer. I'll return Mid-June.
-
galsal - sorry to hear that - hope you can catch us next time! Hope things resolve positively for all.
annalive - very good!
-
Count me in!
-
Hi everyone!
As of now I’m planning to go June 9th. I’m looking forward to it. Grill smith sound good. I hope those that can’t make this one will be free for lunch on the next get together.
