I'll have to keep an eye on the wreath....they very well could be building their nest in there.

We had swallows build a mud nest over our front door in the eaves several years ago, but the damn scrub jays ate the baby birds, and. The swallows have never come back...guess they sought a more secluded, hidden location.

We have some bossy Blue Jays around our bird feeder. I had better keep an eye on them! The feeder is in the back and the nest is on the front door. Here's my solution to keep people from going to the front doorimage

The momma is there you can barely see her! It is driving me crazy that the wreath isn't centered in the door anymore! Lol

Had a rough night. Was only able to have the Zometa bone infusion yesterday because my platelets dropped AGAIN. They re-did the test to be sure, and on Tues platelets were 53, and yesterday they dropped TEN MORE POINTS (overnight). That concerns me. MO said if they were trending up, say 53 to 63, they would have done the chemo, but that wasn't the case.

My head hurt most of the night, with annoying wooshing in my ears, and my right hip is killing me. I hate to take pain meds, but gonna have to in order to get thru the day today.

Looks like things are on the move again :o(. Will have scans later in the month.

Lita, I am sorry you are in a bad place just now but you have come back before and I have no doubt you will again.

Thank you for posting the pictures of your wreaths. They say a bird's nest in a Christmas tree means future good luck. I believe the same would apply to a bird's nest in a wreath.

Explosive diarrhea now...I think it's because they didn't do a saline drip concurrently with my infusion.

Both dd and my brother say i have to DEMAND a saline bag, even tho they are scarce, from now on or just get up and walk out. It's ridiculous. Thank God I was wearing my Depends, and I'll continue sleeping on one of those bed pads for a few more nights.

Yes, the nest is getting bigger. I'm trying not to keep going up to the door's window and disturb mama bird.

Oh, I forgot to mention I have peach fuzz on most of my head now, except for the huge bald spot on the top of my head. It looks like male pattern baldness, ha ha. When you have WBR, some spots juat don't grow back in. I'll have to wait and see. (You don't lose your hair with Gemzar.)

I'll have more news next week.

Lita, I agree with DD and your brother about demanding a saline bag. Diarrhea like that quickly becomes an emergency and that is something you should not have to deal with.

As far as the hair AFTER WBR, mine didn't come back on top. It's been almost 2 years so I gave up. Loving my collection of wigs now.

Hi Lita - dropping by to say you are on my mind and I'm stopping to pray for you right now. I hope the D was better today and you have been able to have an restful, uneventful day.

I don't think everyone realizes how much better we could do with the chemo side effects if we have a saline drip with chemo. I don't get a saline bag anymore with Halaven due to the shortage, but I do request and receive additional flushes after each premed and chemo. I tell the chemo nurse I do better with more fluids - always have. Seems there is always something, isn't there? We can all just take one day at a time. 💕

Lita: the saline shortage is supposedly over. They can always give you 4 bags of the 250 ml if the are still short on big bags. Also have your Doc write order for your infusion.

Also scheduled for emergency PET scan on the 19th (day after tomorrow) to check the integrity of the bones in my right hip and femur and see if there's an impending fracture(s) brewing. I can barely walk now, and she wants it checked out ASAP.

I will have another brain MRI in a couple of weeks. She says that's important, too, but not as urgent as the possibility of breaking bones. I'll either have to have pins/rods, or if the hip/femur are still okay (we hope....) I can maybe get by with just a sturdy hip/leg brace.

    Keep me in prayer,
