Ibrance with letrozole if letrozole alone did not work

Hello ladies,
I had taken letrozole two years ago, markers did not go down for three months on it and onc took me off of it. I don't know if I should have stayed longer on it to see if it would work with more time.
I will be starting Ibrance soon with faslodex, if faslodex does not work out. can I consider letrozole and Ibrance? even though letrozole was previously taken.
has anyone had success with letrozole and Ibrance when letrozole alone failed previously?
Also, I would really like to find out if Ibrance combo helped with your bone mets. I have very extensive bone mets and would appreciate your experience.

Hope,
I have heard that it can take up to six months to see results from the anti-hormonals. Were your TMs stable when your MO took you off of the Letrozole? TBH, mine would have kept me on it if the markers weren't going up.
I had no luck with the Ibrance/Femara regimen; my TMs skyrocketed and I developed liver mets. But, that's my story, not yours!
I did have great success with Faslodex though. I am heavily pre-treated, but MO thinks that when I come off of Doxil, we are going to try Kisquali/Faslodex. It would be nice to off of chemo for a while. Not that chemo is bad and scary, but I am prone to anemia, and would love to have some energy back.
Best of luck!
Jennifer

There is a clinical trial recruiting right now for entinostat plus exemestane, for women with advanced breast cancer who failed treatment on a non steroidal AI such as letrozole. Its called E2112.

hi Jennifer,
I think my markers did rise on letrozole. onc switched me to Afinitor which did not work neither. crossing my fingers Ibrance/faslodex/xgeva will work.
is doxil reducing the lesions Jennifer? do you have a port installed or IV in vein?
wish you do well,
h

Hope,
I'm stable on Doxil, so the lesions aren't getting any bigger. I've had some radiation to make the largest one shut up. And, I love my port! I would be so sad if I had to have vein access each time I had an infusion. Having a port means I get to use both hands while getting an infusion.
Wishing the best for you too,
Jennifer

Hope, I was on Faslodex and letrozole for a while. When it started to fail, we added Ibrance to the cocktail. It kept the scans from getting worse for another full year!
So it's possible that letrozole and Ibrance will work. I don't know how long one needs to take a hormonal to tell if it's working. When we added Ibrance the tumor markers took an immediate dive. But when I started letrozole and Ibrance they were already in the normal range.
Good luck!
