    Oh ldkidk, I'm so sorry you are stuck in this initial stage of waiting and terror. Are you being treated for BC at a hospital? Many of them have social workers on staff and/pr organized groups of BC survivors who provide encouragement and support. We are definitely here for you, but an in-person, local support group might be just the thing for you.

    And you WILL be you again. This is just pain and grief, horrid but temporary. Soon it will be in the rearview mirror.

    You will be you again. Some days you’ll be even better. Some days you’ll wonder if you’ll ever feel normal again. My mom (who is a 2 time BC survivor at age 74)wisely told me “You are not your Cancer. You are stronger because of it. You are more aware of how precious life is. But do not let cancer define you. You are so much more.” I think she is right. We do get caught up in diagnosis and treatment and playing the waiting game. But don’t lose yourself to a disease. You will be you again.

    Tarenee- love your mom’s words. Thank you for sharing them. They put into words what I feel I need to do to move forward and past the diagnosis/treatment and fear of recurrence and feel normal again.

    I had a mammogram and uss Tuesday just gone and I was given the all clear, however they couldn’t explain the dimpling in the breast and thickening under the nipple..... this has left me anxious, could I be recalled, are the scans ever looked at again does anyone know?
