Kathy here's that link Crystal classics. CC is the web site. This martini glaass happens to be how I found the web site. I thrifted the martini glass for maybe a dollar. I just liked it. Orreforss is the manufacter. The dollar VALUE they place on it is 68$. Probably was a lot less when it was first made.
Scroll to the bottom. There is a list of elegant glass. Waterford has a section

Thanks Sas! I’ll have to look into that site.

70charger ~ GB for Gall Bladder? I had mine out 17 years ago. Doc RX'd Robinul Forte to stop the cramping and bloating. I still take it now as needed. Simethicone is available over the counter and is used to relieve painful pressure caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestines. It's crazy low priced on Amazon - 240 gelcaps for $12.20
Hope your daughter can somehow get some relief; she has suffered so long
-
Jaymeb - that is a bluebird. A classic photograph. Here is an antique ceramic? bird in my hutch with a skunk rock gift from a lady at a festival. She painted them. I also have a skunk collection. Of course. : )
Junie - I love the pale blue in the quilt. My grandmother hand-stitched several quilts in her lifetime. They are treasured. She hand-stitched her own dresses too. I sewing machine sewed grin, a diaper bag and matching wall quilt for my grandaughter when she was born. Vibrant pink floral. The project was about the end of me or the sewing machine, but we got through. Then I lost my sewing machine when we moved, sort of, and wanted to make organic pillows and covers. Then found it in a corner cabinet in the kitchen..... and I ask why??????? did Hubby think it would go there. So I sewed the pillows, just love them. I(n paring down, I think the sewing machine is going to go, just not sure. My friend and I have a joke, lock us u in a room with our sewing machines and see which of us comes out alive. We both dislike the torturous hobby that much but love what we end up with.
Love the lab pic. whatalabradoddledo. I call Danny Boy 'Doodle.' and Puppy Doodle. I think he finds it embarrassing when we are walking through the farm store.
Our temps were high 50s and this morning it was cold and thundering and spitting snow in he afternoon but did not stick until an hour ago. Danny Boy keeps asking to go out then looks perplexed and crestfallen, like, "I thought there would be snow." And he turns and wants back inside. I think he smelled it coming. With windstorms he is a bit worried and keeps checking the windows, especially after that Derecho season here. If you haven't read the original Damn Dog story ..... http://www.womens-fiction.com/dense-observations/d...
Large wooden hand carved swan and loon, also have a few wooden wrens. All my birds have to look real and from this continent. Note two chickadees on right.
Got the hall and coat closet done. Went through my clothing and made a package to mail to my friend in Canada. She is larger and taller. I had so many clothes I never wear, too baggy for one or cut for a taller person. Thought of her. I told Hubby that when / if I die, she gets all my clothes and coats. Decision made, check.
Kathindc - your photo posting directions are perfect.
Jaymeb - Hubby uses a "StarTrek" phone still. He texts about three words a minute on it. Sad sad fate for this man. On the computer he can play chess. That is all.
TeRenee - cute kitty. He looks like our Snuggles, he lived to like 150 people yrs. He carried in his mouth the live mice and chipmunks to let loose for me.
I started gifting part of my bird collection to my DGD, last year she received about 15 pieces, seeing what she does with them now tells me if she is ready for the breakable ones or do they need to be held in trust for her to mature more.
The last gift I gave my mother before she died.
I wonder if I could / should use that covered tureen for my ash urn.... hmmmm.
insert wild and crazed laugh. Really none of this bothers me, I love organizing parties and doing project files.
Hope the photos did not slow down your loading page, tell me if it was a problem, I will move them to different posts. -
thanks Shepkitty. I will let her know.

I’m on the 37.5 dose. Doc said start every other day for a week then every two days then every three days. I had no idea this crap was such a pain to get off of. Just don’t quit cold turkey they said. Holy crap! What have I been doing to myself?!?!?
Someone said somewhere that melatonin study showed it fed ER+ Cancer. Dammit. I just want something to help me sleep. I was up 7 times last night. Not good, I should have slept great with the rain, but nooooooo.
In other news I had a great day at work today despite being exhausted. New kids in all my classes as we changed to 2nd semester today. They all seem excited to be in my class. I’ll take it
-
Ha Blue-fake lady bug--two dots right. Invasive species. I forget the problem they are causing. But per usual it isn't good.
Hmmm lots going on with that kidney side------------no clue what it means, but into the wine, deciphering isn't a strong point at the moment.
Green phlegm, generally , pneumonia, but should be cultured and sensitivity.
Hand and foot reflexology......Nice. Foot messages with trigger points Oh Vey. I used to always talk DH Greg into rubbing my feet AFTER I rubbed his. Always put me to sleep.
-
TaRenee
Do you teach high school? If so, what grade? As far as sleep, I take generic Ambien CR. That seems to be working well, but I never sleep a full 8 hours. I've been on sleeping pills for years, but I would like to try to wean off them. All prescption sleep meds are addictive, I think. My mom was on ambien, and her doctor has her trying trazedone. She's having a hard time getting used to it. Before I had my daughter 15 years ago, I wouldn't even take a pill for a headache. Well, now, I'm on 7 meds. -
Shep--recently the stupid press said Ivanka plagiarized herself. DUH, you CANNOT plagiarized yourself. You are not plagiarizing yourself, you are reposting or restating a previous statement. ...........Perhaps sorry, I'm just so bothered by MSM that makes so many erroneous statements. Which lead to people even quoting themselves, seem wrong. I know everyone gets nervous when I say anything that comes close to political.
I started Pain and Other Things b/c I spent time on talking about particular things. Over the years many topics were lost. . Like Melatonin. Haven't looked to see if I saved it to that thread.
I'm worn out on searching. At least at this point.

Ladies
Did any of you know that if you take any kind of pain pill, even as low as tramadol, you can't take sleeping pills? Apparently it has to be one or the other. Also, CVS Caremark, which is my prescption insurance, needs my doctor to tell them verbally why I take controlled substances. What the hell???? I was so mad and shocked. I take tramadol, Valium, and Ambien. The tramadol, and Valium are for a short time. Never have had any issues. Even after consent from my doctor, it is up to the insurance company if they will pay for it. There could be a chance I might have to pay out of pocket. I will be soooo upset. My co pays for any generic medicine around one dollar, and some free. Have any of you had any issues with your insurance company regarding meds? Like we don't have enough on our plate. I wonder if this cracking down for medicines is due to all the problems with prescription drug abuse everywhere. -
Ta re, just read your history of event. Glad your BS was suspicious. Good doc. I have been here since 2009, but didn't really start posting much till 2010. So many stories over the years where the docs blew off concerns of a lump, and the outcome wasn't good.
It, seriously, hurt to hear those stories.
What does this mean? " Apparently we were looking in the wrong place a few years. (Dx at 47 and am now 48)."\
JUnie Hahaha, that dog laying in the water is so much what not just labs do, it's dog thing. So, love dogs.

Oh my 70's Charger, the drug is Belladonna, In a past time it was combined with Opium. It was Belladonna and Opium---B&O. It was delivered as a suppository for bladder spasms.
I met a gal R. N. from Russia who had post gallbladder removal bile duct spasms. She explained that there could be common bile duct spasms after removal of the gall bladder. It was widely accepted in Russia as a potential post gallbladder removal. The drug was widely used there for a solution to the pain. Belladonna is an antispasmodic for smooth muscle.
Post gallbladder problems are common. What bothered me when I heard her story was, this is a known problem here, why didn't we research the solution. We have drugs that are antispasmodics like Bentyl. But what is the difference between the work of Belladonna and Bentyl ??????? Dunno, Belladonna is so old.
So, let me talk about a different class of drugs. A drug classification encompasses drugs within a group that have many of the same characteristics, but have a particular effect within the classification.
The benzodiapines, first drug in the class was Valium(diazepam). 1960's first invented for it's skeletal muscle affects, then was noted after approval for it's antianxiety affect---became a drug of abuse bc docs prescribed it like candy, It was referred to as "mom's little helper". The next was restoril (temazapam). Sleeping pill. Xanax ( alprazolam) anxiety. Versed (midazolam) used for sedation.
Each had their key to usuage.
Back to Belladonna, it's an anticholnergic drug, just as Bentyl is. Why was it more useful in post gallbladder spasm of the common bile duct. Dunno. In severe cases of spasm can B&O help in the case of unusal gallbladder spasm.........You would be hard pressed to find any research on it.
From the 1960's drugs that had been used for decades, were sent into oblivion. It was the advent of Big Pharma and the negating of previous medicines. Not conspiracy theorist. It's just fact.
FRAN, would like to review by phone daughters scenario. I'm not a doc, but I am a good detective. & years for her do be doubled over in pain is a travesty. Hmm, I looked to see where you are from. Canada. I know you know that's a major part of the problem. Socialized medicine. Doesn't mean she 's there with you....let's talk.
I my scrolling down. I saw Shep Kitty's thing on Robinul Forte. Robinul is also an anticholinergic.....relaxes smooth muscle. Same family as Belladonna and Bentyl.

BLUE what the hell frog feathers did this mean? " Hope the photos did not slow down your loading page, tell me if it was a problem, I will move them to different posts.". DUH. not.........
TaRe remember these words "All drugs have Consequences". Your doc gave you a typical doc weaning schedule. You can do the math, it would hurt my head. Calculate it out to minimum 5 weeks based on the fact you have been on it 5 weeks. Even stretching it a couple weeks longer . Please, look at what the ladies on the Hotflash forum did, or the second recommendation from my counselor... of getting the compounding pharmacy to help by the last couple of weeks with changing to the very low dose of Prozac.......(need doc order)........... As I said in my earliest post to you............messing with serotonin is nasty.

LOverly, Praying for you Dad. I'm thinking the surgery has happened or is close.

Jay, I did this thread TWO years ago. It's so much in Caps(yelling)

Read it then we can talk

sas
My long reply is in the thread you sent for me to read. I thought it would show on this insomniac thread. Please respond when you read my post. I had some questions for you. Thank
-
Sas- when I was having issues with my cycle every two weeks docs looked all at ovaries, uterus, couldn’t find a problem. The thought is that the BC was prompting the higher levels of ER/PR and triggering my cycle. We didn’t look at breast for any issues until I felt the lump. Then everything seemed to make more sense when we got the tumor results b/c it was so highly reactive to hormone
-
Sas - what the hell frog feathers - it meant that some people have old computers or their phones cannot handle the load of one post w numerous photos. Sas - HAHAHA you are so funny. Frog feathers!
This is a fake ladybug. I think. I don't know!
Here's a link to many pics of the lady beetles that I think are not Asian. Because I think Asian always have a little white M or W between the head and shoulder. Like the one above has a tiny one. The ladybugs or ladybirds we romantasize are uniformly dotted and have only a few dots, dark red. Those are the ones of nursery rhymes and garden searches. BTW, they did just fine in eating aphids, no need to bring in the Asian, but it was done anyway. https://www.ladybug-life-cycle.com/classification-...
Maybe there are frogs with feathers on that site. : )
Here's the story I wrote about them.... http://www.womens-fiction.com/short-stories/gracie... Gracie, the freezing fake ladybug. It's a how I piss off Hubby story too.

Blue - you are funny!

Ladies, BCO had an ill conceived campaign called Take the Fright Out of Breast Cancer during the month of October. There was a thread on this. It has since been closed to discussion and moved here: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/135/topics/860125?page=1
Please visit this thread as I think some of you would have valuable comments to make. It is about the amount of money they want to raise to revamp BCO and how they are wanting to do it.
-
Jay, Are you working through Pain and Other Things?
TaRe So, one more surgery to go through? Left reconstruction?
Blue Hahah Frog feathers funny visual.
Funny story about the ladybugs
-
Sas I have my exchange surgery at the end of March. Double new boobs.
Funny thing happened this morning. I was getting ready for work. Put on a long sleeve shirt. It was rather tight. I’m okay with that. But when I looked in the mirror it was also very low cut and showed off the clevage. I thought... OMG I am not ready for that! I had to change clothes.
I don’t think it looked bad. But I was not prepared to SEE it. Wow
-
Oh TaRe, with out a bra my cleavage goes sideways. Shitty PS work. But Donnie's never complained. When they are pushed together they look okay.
I was a uniform lifer. 12 years of catholic school. Then 3 years at a Catholic Jesuit University. Then nursing school. Then nursing. I never learned how to wear anything that remotely showed cleavage. THEN THEN THEN on Donnie's and our first date to Carabbas's, I had a thing on, that showed a bit of cleavage. Pushed together it looked real. He said "Now cover that up, you don't need to be showing that" I asked if I looked bad he said " No, but that's just for me" I thought that was so cool.
-
I told Donnie what I just wrote. The memory was from 11/17/2012 his birthday. We laughed.
TALK about MEMORIES. On Jan31st there is going to be a Super Blue Red moon. The last time it happened was 150 years ago. Hope I can retrieve the clip that explains it all. Plus they're is an event next January. The two celestial events are so rare so close.
Be back with link

Ray and Tare forget who's doing what, but take a look here about toradol, blocks and opiods.

I do not want to miss this special moon. So far on last two moons one was too cloudy of sky to see anything, the other I forgot!
Yes, on the Gracie story - to this day Hubby frowns at me what I remind him of the day I fricked up his pperfect plastic window cover.
-
OH so quiet..........oh my goodness 2 days since anyone posted............ Well, that's kinda a record.
DS Stephen got me wireless headphones for Christmas. Rocket scientist neighbor set it up a couple of days ago. He couldn't do it before that b/c he was sending off rockets in California.
IT is so cool I can HEAR. My approach to be hearing impaired is request people to speak up. It's worked for most of my life. Some people get irritated.
Donnie jumped up at Christmas when I opened Stephens gift and Yelled "Wahoo" whatever, Hahaha
I have two jokes about hearing loss 1. the car always runs well. 2. I get left out of the gossip stuff.
-
Shep, I thought you were going to introduce the new puppy and pictures. Not saying her name b/c that's for you to announce.

Hey Sas
I'm still reading the older posts from 2015. I haven't been on any forums until this evening due to a busy weekend. We had a birthday " weekend" for my daughter who just turned 15. Went to the Cheesecake Factory. I went early, to wait for a table for 20. The kids were bowling. Well, it was a 3 1/2 hour wait. They will not take reservations. This place has only been around a year in our area, and the most popular restaurant in Greensboro. Always busy.
First of all, I didn't realize you were a nurse for 40 years. Wow. I would love to know what all you have seen over the years. My best friend has been in nursing for many years, however she's in the administration of it now. When she did clinicals in the Bronx of New York, I can't believe some of the things she dealt with. Babies born to mothers who were on crack, aids babies, and I could go on and on. I know you know all this. Nothing should surprise me, but yet, it still does.
I saw on one of your responses, that you've been criticized for what you've said regarding drugs, and the problems from it. Whatever anyone said is their problem. I like that you speak up!!!! Are you still in nursing, or have you retired? Did you enjoy your career? I love to ask questions. I like to learn something new everyday. I'm having one of my many sleepless nights, then I'll get up around 2:00 in the afternoon. Sighhh. Never will get on a schedule. Gonna continue reading these older threads regarding drugs. I'm curious, though, what are you thoughts about tramadol, and why you think it should be off the market? I will say this, when my reconstruction is complete, and healed, I'll be so glad to be off any pain med. I just hope they don't try to shove Percocet at me again!!!! Hope you don't mind all my questions.
