I just ordered the braclet from Amazon. Says I'll have it on Sunday!!! I'll be sure to post a picture when it arrives. Hmmm, now what shall I put in there first
-
OCDAmy I am so happy for you!! You've been an inspiration. I'm on week two of Tamoxifen and I have to say, so nice to be done with the daily grind of RADS. To Paulette and our other warrior girls, you are almost done. Counting down with you!
-
I love the bracelet also, where can we get one?
Finished my whole breast now, next week will be boosts for me .... yay!!! I forgot the song they played today already, sorry I got chemo brain!
Lifechoices, you are always a special friend to me. I still remember how we met in the November thread I told you how God changed me through this BC. Hope you have a great weekend and no more zap!
-
Georgia1 hellloooooo.... hope you are doing well. Im on day 10 of Tamox; nothing extra going on with it. I say a pill and prayer a day, keeps the cancer away!
PauletteK you are so kind; CONGRATS on your final whole breast and now on to the boost! Awesomeness!!!
All of you ladies TOTALLY ROCK!
-
Lifechoices, great to hear from you! I was laughing about all of the posts about drinking because I definitely enjoy a glass of wine now and then. I asked my MO about drinking while on Tamoxifen and she said "no problem!" I love her.
Ellyn, your bracelet was particularly hilarious!
Paulette, you are so close! Hang in there.
-
Oh goodness! I miss a few days and all kinds of goodness happens! Congratulations to you - OCDAmy for finishing strong!!!!! I finally remembered to ask where the bell was today and can't wait. gigibee - glad to hear that you are a "model'. Me, on the other hand always have to positioned and the wing on my arm has to be tucked. LOL Hope everybody had a good week and looking forward to this weekend.
-
Well Georgia1 i wasnt able to have my Friday glass of wine tonight; my church is in our 21 Day Daniel Fast... so i couldnt. But im glad to know that its not taboo for ER/PR+. Ill do so in moderation, but its nice for a WINEdown Friday and dinner with my fella.
-
Neanie44, too funny i had a little wing too. The first day while mapping in prone position they taped it a little, but after that... i was able to adjust my arm higher. I was like geesh my boob is a 40DD and you still cant see it! Lol. Ok
-
Congrats OCDAmy on your last rad - what a great feeling! Enjoy the freedom, and good luck with the rest of your journey. I hope you're able to have your exchange surgery soon, these expanders have been some of the worst part of all this.
I also need to see by OB/GYN this spring and determine if I'm really in menopause, no period at all since my first chemo which was back in May. I turned 50 this summer so it was getting about time, but chemo threw me right into it.
I finished #20 of 30 today, so I'm 2/3 done and will finish up January 26th - can't wait! Everyone have a great weekend.
-
PauletteK- congrats on your last WBI!!
Next Thursday will be it for me, IF the machine doesn't break down. LOL This past week was my first 5 days in a row. Today I'm just so itchy, hydrocortisone on 3x so far. I can't wait for it to be over. Its been a long road from DX, and we've made it this far - stronger, and wiser.
So ladies, I'm a beer drinker. I had 2 pints back on Christmas eve. Before that, I can't even remember. Since then, nothing. I will be glad to have an ice cold beer when rads are over. Unfortunately my beer glass doesn't hold a candle to your wine glasses!
-
CindyNY - I found this beer glass for you.
-
I love it!!!!!
-
Haha! Cheers.
-
I'll take it!
-
ok I prefer Margaritas, let me know what you find for me! lol
-
gigibee....
-
lifechoices๐๐๐ thatโll do!!!!
-
you gals are funny!!!
Have a great long weekend,
-
Paulette, Thinking of you and cheering you on for your last five rads! Long, long road it has been!
-
Good morning WARRIORS!
PauletteK...
-
Today is a day of rest, clinic closes no zapping.
Thanks to Amy and Lifechoices...... you gals are my best pals! Help me so much! Canโt do this without you.
I need this three days rest. My skin are tight and breast is so swollen. My friend gave me some aloe leave, is it good to use?
-
clinic is open today here, completed my last whole breast, 23/23, starting boosts tomorrow. Dr said I am doing awesome and gave me 3 hugs! She is wonderful! Song was Journey "when the lights go down in the city" Dr said this is bottom and things should improve from here. Hang in there all of you awesome ladies!
-
gigibee - CONGRATS on 23/23! I've got 4 more to go, today 13/16. You've got this, boosts be damned!
-
So happy to see everyone getting close to the finish line! You'll be ringing the bell soon and able to move on! Hugs
-
life choices - Love the picture! :-) gigibee- Yay on last whole breast and skin holding up!! My clinic was open as well, so off to zapping I went. Skin is still hanging in there. I meet with RO tomorrow and MO after. The RO is concerned about the amount of swelling in my breast and has asked my MO to look at it again. I did tell her he knew when it started back in November and said it was normal. PauletteK - I am currently using the Miaderm during the day and the Aquaphor at night along with the Miaderm and it seems to be keeping my breast moisturized, but I have heard that the aloe is also good to use.
-
OCDAmy, congratulations on finishing!! You have been such a wonderful inspiration to us. And so many of you are close to the finish line! Congratulations to everyone for hanging in there and just putting one foot in front of the other every day -- you will get there.
Our motto, courtesy of Ellyn: Cancer touched my breasts so I kicked its butt!!
-
Many of us are going to finish around the same time. ๐๐๐๐ Will start my boosts tomorrow. The skin on my breast turned tanned, a little uncomfortable, little peeling on my collarbone which is so red now.
I got to say my clinic got it good, more holidays!
My friend gave me a aloe leaf Neanie, I washed it and put it in the refrigerator, can I just use it naturally? She told me she does and put on her face also.
Will be going in for my 26/30 tomorrow.
-
Happy Monday ladies hope you all had a great rads day today if you had rads & hope your experiencing minimal SE. I had my 2nd last rad today as tomorrow is my last one. I can't believe I have almost come to the end of my active treatment. I went to an Italian bakery & bought pastries & treats for my rad techs tomorrow. I'm sure there will be tears lol. Have a great night ladies & keep on kicking the big C in the butt!!!! ๐
-
Omg.... so many of you are so close to the finish line. I swear; WE have to be some of the strongest ladies I know!
My rads ended 12/27; and i noticed last week under my arm its peeling. I dont feel it, its just flaking off and i see my skin lighter underneath. I also see the same under my boob at the bra line. It doesnt hurt or red or anything, again just the darker rads layer flaking away. Ive continued with Miaderm and Aquaphor at night. My bra rubs against it so i think tomorrow I'll try the cut a piece of my cotton t-shirt and lay it in my breast fold .. has anyone else had this area to peel...if so what was your remedy?
-
Paulette K- Yes, just rub lightly on skin. Both of my son's had skin allergies and I used it in their skin. Keep us posted on if it helps.
PMV- CONGRATULATIONS on finishing!!! Yay to putting this stage behind you. Cry those happy tears and ring that bell!! ๐
