Hi! Just checking to see how you are doing? I been thinking of you, hoping you are good! Istarted Halaven two weeks ago. The tumor in my neck grew so fast and big it caused a blood clot and nerve damage. I’ve noticed it’s getting smaller only after 2 infusions. Hopefully it will work for awhile

sorry I haven’t posted here. Scan results were not good. Liver mets bigger and more of.them. CEA and Ça 15-3 doubled. Meeting with my mo on Thursday and will be going back on Halaven. Certainly wish I could have been on the GDC0077 longer. I’m really blowing through treatments quickly

Hugs Babs. That's a gut punch but it's good to have a plan for what to do immediately. I would make sure that MSKCC has a good plan for what to do after Halavan as well. Have you done TACE or Y90? Have they been discussed?

Z that’s one of the things we’ll duscuss on Thursday. What’s next and both Tace and y 90. I also need to review the scan with her as unless I’m reading the results wrong it looks likes there’s some lung involvement now. I really didn’t want to think about it or deal with it before due to my trip to visit my dd in Paris but I just landed back home and it’s what I have to do now- deal with rsskity

I’m so sorry, hopefully Halaven will work for a long time. So far it seems pretty tolerable. My oncologist said once the cancer gets under control on this we can try targeted therapy or a clinical trial again, maybe the same for you. Ive been blowing through them too but there are a lots of trials out there! :) I’m sending. You lots of positive vibes!

I was on Halaven before the trial and found it relatively easy. We’ll see this time. Just would like one long run out if something!

I understand, it seems like we are similar with treatments. I only had 5 doses of GDC-0077, 16 days on Ibrance. I also did AC, taxol, carboplatin, Abemaciclib with Keytruda, tamoxifen, and letrozole. But we will find something that is long term! :)

Hi - I'm following this post and I have a couple of questions:

Babs-why did you receive radiation while you were in this trial?

Donnajr-why did you only receive 5 does of gdc-0077?

    Thanks for your time.

Babs, You remain in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that your new treatment plan knocks down the mets and then continues to work for a very long time. Your trip to Paris for the birth of your grandson is quickly approaching. I hold you, your daughter, and your grandson in my heart as that day comes, and I lift you all up in prayer. You are a special person. In spite of all the challenges you have faced, you continue to give your support to the rest of us on these boards.

    Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Lynne. Thank you so much for your very kind and encouraging words!

Seeing the IR Monday. I hope she has a treatment that she thinks will work on my pesky liver mets. Of course I’m not doing anything until after I come back from Paris

Before I go to Paris I might get a dose of Doxil to hold me for the 3 weeks I’ll be there. I did get a quote of about 3000 euros for a Halaven treatment in Paris. And I’d need 2! Just not affordable so my MO suggested a Doxil infusion prior. But we have to check my heart first. Seeing cardiologist on Tuesday and will do chemo on Thursday night before we leave Friday night. Just so much to deal with when all I want to do is to focus on my dds birth and my new grandson!

Just another bump in this crazy road we’re on

Babs, I hope that you are feeling okay after last night's chemo (assuming that you had doxil infusion). Tonight you fly off to Paris, and when you return you will be the grandmother of a brand new grandson! I look forward to seeing pictures of that cherished child in your arms. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.

    Hugs and prayers from, Lynne
