Does anyone have anything advice for getting rid of some of this fluid in my stomach? I'm so miserable and in pain. Dr is waiting for liver enzymes to come down before another draining. Please help!!

Lvin, you may want to ask this question in the peritoneal carcinomatosis thread. You may get more answers. i don't know of anything else besides draining but wonder why elevated liver enzymes has anything to do with draining?

my dear, I've been there and still am.

In the last two weeks 4,5lt fluid drained and already full again. Dr prefers solving the problem via chemo. Hope we don't drown inside out :/

I'm using a special pillow feel better and even can sleep! cbeck out atelierpofuduk at instagram. The material and the entire shopping experience is first class. Wish I discovered it earlier.

MO is hopeful chemo will shrink me down. Not yet, I''m afraid.

    Hugs

Back in hospital, took 4.9 liters out and felt so much better. This morning my heart rate went to 160 and I freaked out. It's been high last few days, 140s. Dr.s think it's just reaction to meds and fluid. Ugh!!! Dr hoping safety next chemo, cmf, fluid will stop. Hope he's right. For more it's sitting in hospital, no cooking, no cleaning.... Just resting.

LvinAZ44, oh doesn't it feel better. I just had 8 litres drained, and I feel like a new person!

I was joking about being pregnant, it went from a single, to twins to triplets.

ı had recurrance recently, after 3lt draining, 1,5lt drained in only one week. Good news is the belly stayed huge for two more weeks, now started shrinking. Chemo takes a bit of time show real results, so abit patience sister.

I, too, went through that miserable state just recently. I completed an entire summertime about to pop any minute..

shortness of breath may also be due to anemic condition. I started on iron-based diet.

This is a bumpy road for sure!

    Hugs
