The Underbelly folks are pretty radical and the postings usually edgy. Also, they have a closed Facebook page that you request to join. Closed FB pages are good because posts don't go to your contacts.

Ok, I have my box of crayons here. I'm coloring over the hair to make the vampire bald. Next, I'm scribbling out the tuxedo because she/he can't afford one after paying all the co-pays for treatment. Now I'm drawing mastectomy scars on her/his chest. Finally, I'm giving the bats hovering near his/her ear speech bubbles that whisper "Recurrence!" and "Mets!" There. How's that?

Tt, thanks. Today after about 30 seconds the article loads. I'm guessing there was a problematic ad loading the other day (Ghostery shows over 10 ads today, whereas when I tried before, it loaded only one before stalling).

I am convinced that even after all of us voicing the same things over and over, while getting what amounts to lip service from the mods, that they Do. Not. Care. about what we think.

Nor does BCO in general.

I feel like I'm losing my support line.

Responding to JustJean's comment that the mods and BCO do not care what we think: I think that we the discussion board members are not the target of this fund raising campaign, so in a sense BCO indeed does not care about our views as long as the campaign brings in money from the outside donors they are targeting. I think that is shortsighted because our input is valuable, and BCO stands to lose respect and support for reasons we have discussed.

I do not know anything about how BCO operates, but I suspect the moderators do not have decision-making power regarding the campaign. They have probably been tasked with trying to quiet the annoying little people here on this thread, while the higher-ups continue with what they are doing.

SP I think you've nailed it. Likely the money needed to run this $122 million a year operation Is mainly raised from corporate and public sources. These aren't people living with the disease, these are corporations earning a living from us, and people afraid they'll get the disease. Perfect targets.

Do the means justify the end? Obviously management thinks so, and they will likely take the road to riches before they satisfy us

Ok maybe not the bats butt - but it would be just as relevant 😉
