I just wanted to post this picture of Mr. Pants (short for panteloon). As you may remember I am a catsitter and I love the cats I take care of. When I first talked to his owner she said that I would probably not see him the entire time I took care of him. Obviously you can see he is not hiding. He is so cool.

Teach70, I too think you should post a pic each day of your cat.

I also foster and ended up keeping my last foster (got diagnosed and had to take a foster break). But he had special circumstances, ah, that just made it easier for me to know he was getting a good home. Story is: someone called the police about a homeless man who apparently spray paints everything he gets gold. And you guessed it. He had spray painted a kitten gold. I volunteer for a county shelter that is a good one but still county.

Horrific when I got him. Maybe 12 weeks old. Hair gone in spots (chemical burns), one eye would need removal, neurological issues (they weren't sure why but he was knuckling -- not up on his legs/paws). Expectation was maybe 50/50. Totally fine with regard to his intelligence, if that makes sense. He's sharp!

Anyhoo--my BC.org pic is that guy. He's wild. Plays all the time. FAT. Beautiful, shiny coat. We did have the eye removed, and I expect he may have issues from toxic exposure sometime in the future. Unknown. I named him Banksy after the spray paint artist. They were calling him Goldie at the shelter and we could not live with that!

Fostering is wonderful. Good for the soul.

Thanks. Except for the eye, you would never know about his past. He does have minor neuro with the back legs -- gives him this sexy, kinda stiff/leg walk. But if I didn't point it out, you may not notice.

He's a terror. I am not kidding. Very loving and demanding.

Other cat, 15, is at the vet. Looks like congestive heart failure. Idk. I'm only going on what doctor insinuated this morning. Everyone in the house is aging (me, hubby, old cat, old dog) except for the crazy young cat and my son. Ugh.

This is a group of kittens that I fostered in July. They all had homes within 3 days of returning to the shelter.

Except for the little tabby on the left -- these guys look like they have attitude!

You fosterers amaze me. I would never have the fortitude to give them up. I suppose, if I were the one screening potential owners.

Fall is a great time in my house for good light for indoor cat pics and got two that I love of my Joey Roo. The first one I posted in Facebook and a watercolor artist I follow wanted to paint it - Hell ya! Taken with the iPad mini, I think.
