Spookie - Argh! No more hurricanes! We are about 5 miles or so from the ocean but are protected by living on the west side of the Intra Coastal Waterway. All of our utilities are buried; we've been very fortunate to have not lost power for more than a few minutes in past 17 years. I used to live in a pretty little modular home (the wheels were off so not a trailer, ha!) that was barely 2 miles from the beach. Went through Floyd a-okay
How did you do in your perpetually perfect part of Florida? You're near Tampa aren't you? Hoping there wasn't much damage where you are. Geez, these storms are a PIA !
A study guide for those unfamiliar .....
-
Daughter took the 1st pic of Nikolai during (2013) and the 2nd pic of Nikolai during (2017).
-
I'm farther west from Tampa, next to Clearwater a block in from the Gulf. No damage beyond some branches. No power for 3 days, lost fridge contents. 3 storms out there now, Maria may be a problem.
-
Teka, Is Nicolai a Maine Coon or a Norwegian Forest cat? He looks like a sheep with a cat's head. I hope he likes brushing.
-
This is Fury making herself comfortable as usual...
-
Nikolai is a mixed breed. Brushing is a challenge!
-
Fury has a touch of white on her chest and belly.
-
Okay!
Cute. ;o)

-
Selfies with Stormy...haha
-
Stormy looks a lot like my Mouse. The lighting is bad in this picture, though
-
My dad has a long haired gray cat as well. His is male, but looks like my Stormy and your Mouse!
-
Great pics!

The kitties and I evacuated from Miami to Gainesville during the Hurricane. Pistachio made the best of it:
-
Nothing like a comforting dresser drawer. What a trooper!

We are crazy cat people. I started in the spring fostering for our local CPHS. After being diagnosed, I put fostering on hold. We did keep two brothers from the first litter I fostered. We already had three to start. Now there are five....oops!

Ace
Jinx (Ace's litter mate)

Aaah. Teach I think that is what Wren calls a fabulous foster fail.
-
Feeling.... I agree with Wren! However, I was able to successfully foster 3 more litters before my diagnosis and return them.....lol. I am such a softy for animals. I love anything with fur
