do I really need anastrozole for five years? Does it kill your memory? What if I feel uncomfortable with my oncologist?

Go talk to one of your other doctors -- the Gyno or your general doctor-- for some perspective. I am switching oncologists.

Souwant2fite...It would be really helpful if you made your stats public so we could better answer your questions. Aromatase inhibitors can affect your memory but everyone is different. It's the result of low estrogen. Please find an oncologist you are comfortable with. Preferably at a major university teaching hospital. Only you can ultimately decide if you want to do anti hormone therapy. Do a lot of research and make an informed decision. Its your body and your choice! There is a lot to learn when you are first diagnosed and it can be overwhelming. Hopefully this forum will help. Good luck and keep us posted.
