Ibrance and Letrozole

Been on ibrance and letrozole since March, the previous scan in May showed the tumor had shrunk from 2.2cms to 1.8cms which was great. The scan results today show no further shrinking infact the Oncologist says the tumor appears inflamed.

Has anyone had the same and successfully continued. Can you be stable and then continue to shrink or do you think the drugs are no longer working?

    I'm not sure why/how your MO would think your tumor was "inflamed".  Generally with a CT scan they can see sizes but not inflammation.  Was this a PET scan and he said there was uptake?  And yes as long as you're not progressing (doesn't necessarily mean shrinking), just stable is good. 

    And yes eventually you probably will advance at some point (could be years), and tx wouldn't be working so they'd switch you to something else.

    Hi, I was on Ibrance and Letrozole for Stage IV Breast Cancer for 16 months and my PET Scans finally showed no sign of cancer till July 2017 when an original spot on my bone and 2 other small bone spots showed up and my MO suggested the LSZ102 trial which I started 10 days ago. There are many treatments when Ibrance and Letrozole need to be changed and I wish you the best
