hey gals,

I'd developed chemo skin, rashes even pimples and dark spots..

It's already an issue with age, wrinkles & all..

anyway, I by pure chance bought a donkey milk soap, which I saw at the local market. Always curious to try new stuff..

not only it cleared my rashes and pimples on day 5 of taxotere cycle, my face looks younger.. no kidding. It works wonders on black spots on the nose especially, no longer large pores!!!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad this happened when I am 43 with MBC..

And guess what? The label adress is so close to my summer house! Yep! Visited the factory, bought loads of great donkey milk, goat milk, camel milk and sheep milk soaps along with premium quality virgin oil soaps. These guys export to the US, maybe you can see the brand OLIVOS!

Goat milk soap makes my body so fresh and soft, I feel happy. DH also approved the product.

Anyway, my soap adventure continues with fabulous scents..

Hugs

Ebr

Home made soap/small batch producers are the best, great that you found some that works for you. The mass produced stuff they take out the glycerine, which is a by product of saponification, and sell it as a separate product. Glycerine is the best skin softener you will find.

Glycerine is used as a moisturizer to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.g., diaper rash, skin burns from radiation therapy). Emollients are substances that soften and moisturize the skin and decrease itching and flaking.

I have been making soap for years, and we really notice the difference if we go to a hotel and forget to bring our own soap. Our skin feels dry, tight and itchy.

I totally agree.. in fact DH has been motivating me to learn making soap for some time now.. and I am at the heart of the high quality ingredient producers!

Can you suggest a starter recipe?
