My wife got good results for over a year on xeloda, to treat her liver mets. She has now switched to Ibrance and letrozole to see if it gives her better quality of life. On xeloda, she experienced hand foot syndrome, but even worse than that, some sort of neuropathy that made her legs burn, and really disturbed her sleep. If she could have beaten the sleep problem, she probably would have stayed on xeloda. It seemed it bothered her most when she put her feet up and tried to relax.

I've been on X for two cycles (7 days on/7 days off, so 4 weeks total). The biggest problem I've had is intestinal issues - mild/moderate diarrhea followed by constipation, then diarrhea again. I've had some mild queasiness, also. Otherwise, it's been pretty tolerable. I was on Affinitor/Femara/Xgeva for two years and did well with few SEs. After progression was found I was switched to Ibrance/Faslodex/Xgeva and tolerated that pretty well also. Unfortunately, that combo didn't work at all, so now I'm on Xeloda/Xgeva. It's too early to tell if it's working yet and I'm hoping my system will adjust and the GI issues will settle down.
