I've completed 4th Taxotere cycle and have developed severe edema, mostly on the ankles, upper legs and thighs (ouch) skin cracking due to expansion is no fun at all..

Been using Lasix, yet Taxotruck is resisting strong.

My diet is simple, salt free.. yet as this is medically developed, only ER Lasix shots help.

This is my second round Taxotere treatment, there was no SE of this sort the first round.

Mom makes corn hair tea.. helps a bit.

Watch out for this..

hugs

Ebr

Ebru: Boo, that sounds pretty uncomfortable. Let's just hope that the taxotere is kicking some cancer butt! I like your make up pictures on your other post. I am also practicing my make up so I look less "sick". Working on keeping the eyebrows straight is hard! But I'll keep practicing to get it right! I hope you are enjoying your summer!

Ebru, please have your heart and kidneys carefully checked, as edema can be a sign of issues in these areas. I hope that it resolves soon.

Anne, yes I have both next week.. it may also be a SE of Taxotere, which we are on it.

In the meantime, my ankles and legs got back to almost-normal, the same time (beginning of 3rd week of Tax) which is a valuable clue to us.
