My mother has stage IV breast cancer, she has had it for the past four years. She was on multiple hormonal drugs, and lastly Xeloda. While on Xeloda for a few months, the doctors realized her cancer has gone to her liver and she has liver failure. They gave her a few weeks to live.

Her cancer is also Her2 Negative

IS THERE ANYTHING SHE COULD STILL TAKE OR DO TO HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE? Also, she is known to get dehydrated. Does anyone know if she can be on IV Fluids for dehydration with Liver failure? Thank you. I appreciate it.

    Hi Rxguy101-

We're so sorry to hear about your mother, we know this is a difficult time. Have you discussed with her doctors what other treatments might be available to her at this point? We have two forums that might be of interest to you, in regards to your question about treatment and the issues with her liver. Our Just Diagnosed with Mets forum is a good place to start: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/106. We also have a thread in our stage 4 forum for members with mets to liver, where you might be able to find some info about how to treat her dehydration with her condition: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/8/topics/....

Again, we're so sorry to hear of the progression of her disease. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
