Recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, triple negative. 80% aggressive.PET scan indicated some small misshapen nodes too small to diagnose. But nothing beyond the breast. Im scheduled for a lumpectomy with removal of some nodes followed by 7 to 9 weeks of radiation. Lesion is 2 centimeters so they tell me it is an early cancer of about 3 to 4 months duration. What does this mean in terms of recovery and return of the cancer?

    Hi Imladypeacock3-

We want to welcome you to our community here at BCO! It's hard to say what your recovery will be like, and even harder to guess the possibility of recurrence. You may want to fill out your diagnosis and treatment information, which will give other members a better idea of what you're dealing with. In the meantime, you can read through our triple negative forum, which can give you some info and connect with you members who're managing a triple neg diagnosis: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/72.
