No recurrences after pcr?

I am wondering if there are any recurrences after patholog complete response? Are there any stats to read? I am reading of an excellent prognosis for those wth pcr and almost 0 recurrences. Can you confirm that by your own experience?

    I did not have pCR from the first 6 rounds of neo-adjuvant chemo after my recurrence. So after the surgery that followed, I had 4 rounds of a different chemo. Then rads. And Herceptin for a year.

    So it's my experience that there are further treatments if you don't achieve pCR the first time out of the box. I've been NED now since final treatments 2-1/2 years ago. I've had regular MRIs or CTs or PET/CTs to confirm this.

    I'm no expert, but everything I have read says the chance of reoccurance after a PCR for TNBC is about 10%. I talked to a nurse about a clinical trial for women without a PCR last week and asked her if she knew about any trials for women that get a PCR and she said no, that the lead oncologist believes 90% of women who get a PCR are cured.

    In Germany there is a famous table from 2008 that says 94% of TN with pcr are alive after 7 years. 6% recur within the first 2 years. I am wondering if this is the same in the US. And i would like to know if there are women with recurrance after pcr here in this forum.

    10% is what my MO told me and what I've read. I've seen some people on the forums recur after pCR, but it is obviously not a common situation (since only about 20% get a pCR and then only 10% of those people recur...so only 2% of TNBC patients are those with both pCR & recurrence). Overall, it's a very encouraging prognosis!

    I have a (likely) stupid question. What is the difference between PCR and NED?

    I believe PCR (pathological complete response) is no cancer seen after neoadjuvant chemo and NED (no evidence of disease) is no cancer seen after all treatment is finished.
