Question: Why do my clothes suddenly fit better?

Answer: I finally realized that the reconstructed breasts I had installed many years ago had been superseded in size by my relatively enormous Faslodex/age-engendered middle. Today I visited a wonderful specialty bra store in DC and consulted with an expert fitter. My new bras and prostheses sit on my small, somewhat misshapen and uneven A-cup reconstructions, giving me a full bosom that suits the rest of my figure and allows my clothes to drape away from my tummy.

Yes, the new equipment is literally hot and heavy, and will take some getting used to, particularly since I have not worn a bra in years, but now all my tunics and tops fit better and look better. I am kicking myself for not doing this sooner, but it only just occurred to me that I could and should!

Anyway, the upshot is I am very happy to have what look like real breasts in clothes for the first time in a long, long time.Yes, they were pricey, but insurance should cover most of the expense.

    Good for you Tina! Nothing can compare to the feeling of looking better, clothes fitting. It makes everything seem better. I have always been super busty which is hot, heavy and hard to buy some styles. I always envied the girls who could go braless....ironic huh? Time to go shopping for you! WooHoo

    Go girl!!!! I am so glad that you did something to make you feel better about YOU. Personally, I thought you were pretty terrific already, but if breasts make you happy, be one with the tunics.

    Thanks, Susan. This morning I found myself debating whether I should wear them to the hardware store to buy patio plants. Then I told myself, "Wait--these are not emerald earrings. Wear them everywhere and get used to them." So I donned jeans and a t-shirt, and bought tropical plants I'd never seen before.

    You go girl! This is wonderful! The better you look the better you'll feel. And there's nothing like clothes that make you look good and feel good.
