Just started xeloda and having problems Sleeping.

I was taking morning and bedtime But switched to morning and dinner hoping I would be able to sleep . Not helping

Side comment , I have been taking xanax to help With sleep for at least a year with no problem


Anyone else having this problem? If so how have you handled it

    My wife has been on xeloda for over a year now. She has problems with sleeping as well. Sometimes its her feet or legs, burning or aching, other times she is dead tired and simply can't sleep. She's taken a variety of sleeping pills, melatonin, and over the counter sleep aids. They all help, but she still suffers. It's probably her biggest side effect of treatment. She doesn't get quality sleep during the initial hours of the night, is often awake until 3 or 4 am, then sleeps till 10:00 if she is lucky.

    Haven't sleep well since I was diagnosed. I am on Ambien.

    thank you for your response. I have not had the hand/foot problems yet, but I have only been on it for a week. Only time will tell. My sleep pattern seems the same as your wife - can't fall asleep'until 2 or 3. When does she take her meds? I am supposed to take 4 pills 2 times a da

    thank you for your response. A friend suggested I try ambien - can't hurt
