NCI says survival rates are increasing

A friend sent me this over the weekend:

I've read a lot of people on this thread saying that the data we have for survival rates will always lag behind the current reality, so it's nice to see that the trend is going in the right direction.
I don't post often, but I am so grateful for the encouragement that I get on this forum.

This is great news! And I suspect the actual survival stats are even somewhat better than these reports, due to the difficulty of collecting data and the fact that these stats do not reflect the last 5 or in some cases, up to 13 years (depending on which stat you are looking at).
