    minus two just wanted u to know I've had several more infections had my surgery canceled twice now she put it off till may the 10 th don't know why but I am seeing another surgeo n tomorrow and another one mon both from Dallas my breast specialist who did my masectomy gave me the referrals she was shocked over my whole expieramce said it was un excepatable what I've been thru she said this was the only women surgeon that she ever worked with and was highly disappointed in her treatment and attitude towards me so I do feel better just hope I get some good information from one of them all I want is for someone to show me a picture of a masectomy patient with teardrops and explain why that would be best fit for me r would round givebme projection She and not make me flat I just want to know what brand they suggests n size and why i want cleavage Andy projection I just don't want to have a nothet surgery thank u for all of your help u r a angel whippetmom was great she suggested mentor high profile round r inspira 750 cc on 800 thank u my friend I took to urban advice whippetmom said second opion too so I am I'll keep I now touch keep me I need your prayers oh yea r you're gummie teardrop hard u I'd I have u had cleva

    CottonCandy - I have marvelous cleavage, but we're all different. I don't find them hard, but my natural breasts were always extremely hard due to fibercystic disease. I'm told gummies can be harder than rounds, but I have no experience with rounds (except in the PS office on a table).

    Please do let us know how the two second opinion appointments go.

    hi minus two my first went good I really liked him but he wants to use teardrops gummy implants he said I could do naturell 800cc round but would have to have a lot of fat grafting and said I didn't have much and I've had so many infection so that worried him he suggested the 785 I beleve moderate height extra full projection these are the naturell e 410 gummies he said he would have to do a lot of pocket Work but he thought they would be the best look for me said I would have cleavage with a bra since. He is giving me a lot of upper pole fullness and he is going as big a son they come in cc which I liked that he was so nice explained everything about them answered all my questions everyone was so nice and professional they'd have a whole big room with photographe unlike my other surgeon who used her laptop he has outstanding crudicials president o not the board of surgery assistant teachers for surgeon graduated with top honors he said over half his surgeries r teardrop he said with Dallas plastic surgery instution it's a huge place he said it was my choice I wanted round but after he was so nice and explained the difference that tear drop would look bettter on my frame that's all I wanted my other surgeon to do was explain to me answer my qquestions he said he hasn'thad omen to rotate y

    minus two I am supposed to meet with another one mon but I really liked this dr even tho it's not round I may regret it he said what I have been thru was in exsusoable and I had nipple sparring and skin sparing he said he would never had went across my nipple I told I got infection in one nipple and almost lost it but no chemo r radiation said it didn't make sense he's going to make my insision under my breast what do u think should I keep my appt mon I don't know I feel very positive with his choice he seems very smart and patient it's sad that she was doing gummy teardrop to but couldn't explain it to me like he did he just put my mind st ease even tho I wanted round any advise thank I for all your help between u and keiki and whippetmom I was able to do wha the I needed to do cause I was totally confused my surgeon that done munch masectomy gave never the referal for him and one more she had with irked with both of them they r both good surgeons the other one Is a year southwestern university hospital he ask a good record any advice I just hoped they'd r Not hard as long as they r softer than my expanders but after 6 mo I hardly know they r there lol t

    tinkerbell I'm filled to 700cc my PS wants teardrop I wanted round got second opion who does most all of his cancer patients with naturell 410 anitomical or gummies he said he would put in 775 cc. MX r round 800 cc but said I would have a drop off I'm 5ft 1 126 lbs he said I didn't have a lot of fat but he suggested the teardrop I'm so afraid of the rotation I've read post upon post how most women's are unhappy with teardrop they r hard no projection just flat. And most have rotated so im so afraid off the teardrop I've had my expanders for over 5 move hadn't several infections so keeps getting put off done with my first PS she's was rude And wouldn't give me any information I've read u r app i.e. the with the round where teardrops that bad just need hel

    CottonCandy - I thought you'd calmed down. For heaven's sake - QUIT reading on 'dr' google. most of those things are either outdated or totally wrong. You can find lots of women on here who have anatomical implants and are very happy. You can also find people who hated them. And yes, you can find some stories of rotation. You MUST have an expert who has done lots of anatomical implants and has prepared the space correctly to hold them. And please realize that every single one of us have different body, even if the shapes or sizes seem similar. But if you're still not happy and REALLY want rounds, just do it. Or you can go get a 3rd opinion from another doc. There's no rush.

    It's your body. We can all tell you stories, but in the end, YOU must be the one to make the decision. Yes, it's hard, but no one can help with that. We'll keep you in our thoughts as you wrestle with what you want to do.

    My implants are Allergan silicone 410s, style FF, 650 cc.

    I've had them for three years now, and I'm happy with them. They are not perfect, but I have pretty good projection.

    I wear a Genie bra with those thin inserts, and I'm pleased with how I look in clothes. I'm even ok with how I look without a bra. With or without a bra, I do have some cleavage.

    Weirdly I'm a little more physically comfortable with a bra on than without one even though there's definitely no sagging.

    I have the gummie anatomical. I think they look pretty good. They can't rotate because they are in an alloderm "bra" which is sewn in place. If your PS isn't giving you what you need, find another one! They work for you!

    I just had my natrelle 410 placed in last Tuesday. (700cc left 800cc right) I'm so anxious about them not looking the same or one just looking plain bad! Can I ask how many ccs you have? What size that makes you and if you are still satisfied with your results?

    Celia: The best advice anyone can give at this point is - do not look. Step away from the mirror. I know it's hard, but it can be up to 6 months before all the swelling goes down and you can get a true idea of what you might look like. Follow all the rules from the PS regarding not sleeping on your side & not raising your arms above shoulder height & not carrying anything as heavy as a gallon of milk.

    That said, the size of the implant and the fill volume and the look all depend on our individual frames & height & weight. And for that same reason, talking about bra sizes makes no sense - in addition to the fact that each brand is different. Below is a thread for breast implant sizing 101. If you'll read the entire header and post your question to Whippetmom, she can give a better guess.

    I had Allergan 410s placed in 2011. I'm basically happy with the results, although a little smaller would have been good too.

    Cella, I had Natrelle 410 as well. My implants are 450 and 495 ccs. I'm also just 5' 2". But since we're all so different, comparing cc's between us wouldn't really help.

    Be sure to check out Breast Implant Sizing 101. Whippetmom is very helpful with sizing questions. Be sure to read her original post and answer all the questions. She has helped so many of us!

    My implants went in November 2015. My first mastectomy was in September 2014, Dr recommended delayed reconstruction due to a double cancer diagnosis. Ovarian ectomy in between. No chemo thankfully, waited one year remove my left breast due to questionable MRI biopsy year prior. Dense breast tissue. I decided on the Mentor gummie implants 440 cc's; made in USA. Gave me a warranty card post op for the replacements. Went on to have fat grafting from belly to chest. My PS did a "Nubble" construction (that is what I call nipple reconstruction); twisting my skin into a scar/lump for "natural" effect. Life interrupted just before I was to get tattoos to complete the "job". No cancer, two & half years out; afraid to say that for fear of recurrence. They feel soft, cold to the touch unfortunately but they won't try to kill me. We are all beautiful warriors!

    It has been years since I've been on this board. I have had two BC reconstructions since 2005, both times round silicone implants. I am 12 years post cancer, the most recent reconstruction 2009.

    Now my right implant has failed, evidently there is a rupture and I will see my PS next week. It took a long time to confirm it...1st with a sonogram and then with a really terrible MRI experience . However the breast went squishy while the other one stays very firm and round, so I knew!

    Has anyone had this experience where an implant failed and you had silicone in your body ? Is it a serious or complicated surgical repair??

    I am looking for advice about replacing them both to the tear drop implants (I figure if one failed at 8 years the other will fail soon too). I am so hoping somebody would give me some good feedback.

    I have been single throughout my BC years, and would love to feel more normal looking.

    Hi ladies!

    Im scheduled for my implant exchange surgery Jan 9th. The convos w my PS so far have led us to likely doing Natrelle 410's, their gummy teardrop implant.

    After reading many posts here is seems like such a mixed bag or reviews, either love or hate them. I have pre-pec expanders and implants will be also on top of the pec so the thinking was the teardrop will create a more natural look. But I don't want them droopy looking or flat.

    Whippetmom suggested the Natrelle Inspira Rounds which is their gummy bear silicone rounds.

    Anyone here have PRE PEC TEARDROP IMPLANTS willing to share any pictures? These are very hard to find and I'm awaiting approval for the Picture forum.

    amtreb, I have great respect for whippetmom's recommendations from a description of women's stats. She was bang on for size for me, but didn't recommend either anatomicals or rounds. The PS I went with was only willing to use anatomicals on me, because of my low body fat (10-12%), as she said rounds would have a pronounced step-off. I have sub-pecs, as I was too lean and have very thin skin and as such was not a suitable candidate for pre-pecs. I had an amazing outcome and my implants look great. I do have developed pecs from weight training and the slope is a totally natural look. My impression from reading on these boards (I stress my opinion) is that women who are heavier and have higher body fat levels often are not happy with anatomicals. It is extremely important to have a PS who is very experienced with anatomicals, if you choose these, as precise pocket work prevents rotation and minimizes the risk of ripples. I have no ripples even when bending forward.

    My PS seems very confident in his use of teardrop/anatomical implants and feels I'm a good candidate for them. I do a lot of yoga and training which was one of the factors for going pre-pec. I am thin and 5'9" so I think he thinks they will give the most natural slope. Since I have pre-pec TE and implants will be pre pec I makes sense in my head that anatomicals would look better, but again can't seem to get a good read on here of the use of anatomicals in pre pec cases. I'm afraid rounds would look like porn star boobs (not that theres anything wrong with that:). I want a natural look but not droopy!

    Wheres 3-d animation technology when you need it???? LOL :)

    I have the anatomical implants, pre-pec placement directly after skin and nipple sparing BMX. I'm 5'7" and 115 lbs with slight bone structure. My PS recommended these and I agreed thinking they would be the most natural looking.

    It's super hard to find photos to compare the different shapes. I feel like mine have a sort of "humped" shape. Not sure how to describe that! I didn't want circles stuck on my chest, but these don't look very natural naked. It's not the slope that you think.

    I have quite a bit of rippling all along the tops, one dent above the cancer side, and the other side has rotated so now the thinner top section is on the side. I've been advised by the PS to do surgery for fat grafting and he'll correct the turned side then. My BS doesn't want me to do FG for "a few years" since it can make it harder to monitor for changes. I've already been evaluated for a lump behind the nipple that turned out to be fat necrosis.

    I don't know what I'll do down the road.
