Diet and metastatic TNBC

Are you ladies following any special diets for TNBC? I read that TNBC may be mostly fed by protein in the diet, which helps the cancer cells spread. My mom has had TNBC for 3.5 years and she has recently turned mostly vegan after reading this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/healthyeat...

Doctors are useless when it comes to discussing the importance of diet in breast cancer, but I guess if people knew how much diet can prevent and help this disease, they would lose their jobs.

    I should also note that my mom doesn't have any other problems apart from the cancer: no diabetes, heart problems, blood pressure problems, etc. So something must be feeding the cancer cells that is toxic to her body.
