Hi everyone,

I am triple positive grade 3 , stage 3.

I am done with my chemo and surgery. Radiation planned next month.

I have a small kid who is just 4 years old. Looking for some hope for living next 15 years atleast.

Any survivor stories?

I'm posting here so you don't get discouraged. You are looking for someone to chime in with pretty specfic characteristics and survival time. Keep in mind that the long term survivors for the most part are off living life. They exist, even with your characteristics and worse. There are even stage 4 people that are decades out. It looks like this is new to you, and trust me I'm no expert but what I do know is that more people than not, as of today, make it through this. To add to that things are only getting better for breast cancer patients. You are triple positive, so you have a large arsenal of weapons to use. You have to look at the wins and brush off the losses. There are people worse than you that are thriving. Stay strong, stay positive and beat cancers ass.

I am triple positive, diagnosed in Feb 2017, MX on 3/31/17.  Hoping to live a very long time!  I have heard being triple+ means we have a lot to fight with.  By the way what does VE mean?

Tom1981- Thanks for the inspiration. I am usually very strong and cheerful. But sometimes there are days when I feel my child is dependent on me. She needs me right now. Its so frustrating when "what if" crosses your mind.

Hope you are feeling better now. How is your radiation going? Any side effects with the skin? I have become extremely sensitive post chemo and surgery. So I am little nervous.

Moodyblue - all the best for your surgery. Hope you recover soon. '+ve' is just my way or writing positive. Sorry if that confused you.

My wife had her third radiation today and so far so good. She has Miaderm cream that we apply 3 times a day that allegedly helps a lot with the skin, so you may want to look into that. It's expensive but allegedly works fantastic and was made specifically for radiation patients. Past that we met with the RO today and he is more than pleased with how everything lines up and is able to get to all the areas we want him to. So we take it one day at a time.
