Any Stage IV on (or tried) Doxil (PLD)?

Looking for information about this chemo and SE. I know what some of the papers say, that fewer of us will have SE than those taking doxorubicin except for the hand-foot syndrome (and stomatitis mucositis), but I wonder about other kinds of SE... especially chemobrain.

Just re-enlisted in the cancer war this month and this is one of the chemos my MO is suggesting. I had issues with chemo brain with TC and I'd like to avoid more of that.

THANKS for any/all input!

    Thanks, Mods!

Am meeting with MO later today. Still trying to get more feedback from metsters on types of chemo --- I'm triple negative so focusing on tx for TNBC. This Doxil / PLD is a kind of like a less-harsh version of the ardriamycin / redDevil; that's my understanding.

Hi Chirps, sorry you are back know the war front.

I just switched from Doxil to Doxorubicin. I had a severe reaction to Doxil. Do a search for the word in the Stage IV forum and you'll find many other helpful discussions. Sorry I don't have the energy to link to them now.

Hi Chirps, I am on the hunt for more discussion, also, so will press on. Just got the word about progression, and have done taxol then a good two years on Xeloda. I did not do well on aromasin or afinitor, so have had a drug holiday for six weeks or so. Hope things are working out for you. Warmly, Marci
