Quadromet anyone?

I have had a rough past year & a half. My mets continues to spread in my bones only. I took a dose of quadromet from my RO in Sept 2015. My MO has been changing my chemo drugs every few months. While on xeloda last summer I got septic, having 4 different bacteria in my blood stream. I thought that was it, this is what will do me in. Recovery has been very slow. I did some radiation on my lower spine & left hip. Now my MO wanted to start me on Halaven. I had a complete melt down just thinking about my hair falling out & feeling sick on my stomach. I still feel weak from the sepsis episode. I called my RO & asked about quadromet again. Side affects were minimal last time. So chemo is on hold until I get quadromet . I am hoping I will get strength back before I start chemo.

Has anyone else taken quadromet . If so, what is your experience w/it. Thanks, Sue

    I have never heard of this. Is it a chemo? Painkiller?

    quadromet is a radionuclide given IV , as treatment to kill cancer cells in bones. Originally MO not on board, now she says up to me, & 2nd opinion from another MO said do quadromet, Halaven will be tough to handle at this time. Going on Thursday for quadromet. Pushing my self to move/walk more. Legs aching very badly from little bit of walking so far

    I had quadremet my cancer had spread to so many of my bones that with pain meds and external radiation the pain could not get under control. The quadremet was like a miracle for me. It got the pain more manageable. The only issue once was all I could do it because of the damage to my bone marrow was great. I had to have blood transfusions to build my blood up enough to fight off pneumonia I had. But for the time it was a God send

    so far quadromet has done me right. My tumor marker dropped by quite a bit.pain is decreased & counts have stayed ok. Su
