Anyone in Orlando?

Hi all,

DS has been spending his school holiday in Miami-Orlando the past week.. Earlier today his school group visited the Universal Studios there.. as he got very wet, his teacher asked him change clothes at the toile cabins by the main entrance /exit (where the universal globe is).. right before the park closed. He left his small shoulderbag with his mostly cracked phone and some pocketmoney there.

Early tomorrow morning, they will be contacting the park.. the phone was almost dead anyway, the money important for a child yet the most precious was his photos he took throughout the week during his stay there :(

If anyone of you know someone who works there who could be of help to find his baggy.. we would be grateful.

Deciding to send him to the other side of the world was not the easiest decision for us, yet we with DH believed such an experience would make him happy after all DS has been going through since my dx.

Just trying to contact everyone I possibly can to get his phone with the pics.

Thanks for reading.. fingers crossed

Ebr

I really hate that for your DS. I'm sure he is so upset. I am not close enough but I'm praying someone will be along shortly that can help you out. Surely there is someone on this forum from Orlando, keeping my fingers crossed for the little guy. Best wishes.

    thanks dear.

The resort has all info and we re waiting.. Well my main concern is that he returns safe & sound.. I made sure I wasn't angry that he lost his things.. really don't want to spoil his great time there. :)

He will be returning tomorrow night, with loads to tell I am sure!

    Hugs

the trip was a success though the bag hasn't been found.. İnteresting, in my country money and cell phones, if not stolen on purpose, are returned to the owner :)

I am very proud of my 12 year old who has travelled to the US alone and had a great time. And extra happy to have learned from this teachers that he doynded native when he talked!

    Totally worth it! :)))

    Dear Ebru,

I'm sorry your son's bag hasn't been found. However, I'm delighted he had a wonderful time in the U.S.

Over the decades many of our European friends have entrusted their older (16-19) kids to us for a few weeks so we can show them around Washington and New York city. We've all had a lovely experience. Some of those kids are now in their 30s with families of their own! One even credits us with her current position as a professor of English literature at Cambridge!

I wish things were not so crazy/unpredictable here now. As it is, I am too concerned about the current political situation to ask that you visit these shores.

My fervent wish is that things improve soon. I extend an open invitation to your family to meet and visit us under better, brighter circumstances.

    Hoping for the best,

    Tina
