Metronomic Chemo Regimen

I am writing on behalf of my best friend who is stage 4 with bone and lung mets. She was diagnosed with bone mets 3 years ago, 8 years after a stage 1 diagnosis. The lung mets are new. She was treated with faslodex and xeloda, each for a year and 4 months of Navelbine which she stopped due to the side effects. She will now be on a daily dose of low amounts to Cytoxan and weekly methotrexate. Her MO said this should ameliorate the side effects which she has had trouble dealing with. She is being treated at a major NYC hospital. I was wondering if anyone here has had this type of regimen.
